This has been bugging me for the longest time but I’m not sure what kind of processor is best for gaming in general. I originally thought that Cores were all that mattered but apparently Ghz work hand in hand with Cores. I just need to know which is better for High-End Gaming specifically. I am not very knowledgeable with Processors and what they do except they handle processes and actions in the computer.
Any help or suggestion of a Great Processor for GW2 (Or just High-End Gaming/Streaming) would help, thanks!
From your specs it sounds like you’re running a laptop. So when you’re talking about a 2nd monitor I assume you mean the primary is your laptop’s built-in screen and the secondary monitor is the external screen?
If so, how do you have your screens set up? Are you cloning the view (both screens show exactly the same), are you replacing the view (screen 1 is black/off while screen 2 is on) or are you extending the view (both screens are displaying seperate things)?
If you’re cloning the view, have you tried one of the other 2 settings?
The other thing that springs to mind is screen resolution. Do both monitors support the same resolutions? Are they currently running the same resolution?
I am extending the views. Yes i am using a laptop setup. My laptop screen’s resolution is 1600×900 (17") and my external Monitor is 1920×1080 (23").
I just recent bought my 2nd monitor 23" for my computer and set it up w/ an HDMI connection. I run Gw2 on the main display but theres a big problem. When I click PLAY, both monitor displays start blinking off and on rapidly as the game loads, and all you see is the Gw2 hand cursor and not the character select screen.
Gw2 works perfectly when one monitor is connected but not two.
Any idea how to fix this issue? My graphics driver is up to date and I’ve scanned for all possible malware and viruses.
GPU: Radeon HD 6650M
RAM: 4GB
CPU: Intel Core i5-2430M 2.4GHz (2 Cores)
Can provide other information as well.
