If anything, I’d say your CPU is holding you back. GW2 is heavily CPU bottlenecked.
7xxx series problem. Same lines (+ blue artifacts flickering) on my 7850. Ati knows about problem with their drivers ( more like they are pure kitten not a problem.). Everyone i know with 7xxx series card have thoes lines
Yeh I do also notice flickering as well if I alt-tab out and re-enter the game.
Whenever I’m in an area with a relatively flat floor texture I see these straight lines that form a grid like pattern. I see them a lot in cities, dungeons, and random buildings outside.
Here’s my Specs : Core i5 3570k, 8gb Ram, HD7950, Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium
This is all on a fresh install of Windows 7 and I’ve tried the latest AMD drivers as well as several past iterations with no change.
Also, I attached my DxDiag report since I know Anet loves that stuff.

Yep, even though I have a 3570k @ 4.5ghz and an HD7950, I still get like 25 FPS in some locations in Lions Arch and WvW. Though most of the time I have 60+, those drops still do bother me and Anet needs to start optimizing more.
Just use your account to install the client / test it on his computer.
I think I know why it wasn’t working. My SSD BSOD’d when I was transferring the file, so it got corrupted. I turned my PC back on and the weird thing is when I went to copy it again, since it didn’t move, it appeared to copy in 1 second. I just recopied it though and it seems fine, thank you
I took the Guild Wars 2 folder from my one computer, which contains the Gw2.exe, Gw2.tmp and Gw2.dat files and put them onto my portable harddrive. Then I transferred them onto my other computer to a newly created folder… C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2. The problem is that when I click to run the exe file, the launcher starts and begins to download the entire game all over again, all 200,000 some files. Am I not transferring the client correctly or did I miss other files needed?
