So this issue is still persisting on my end. I have tried all the fixes, and I even uninstalled the client and reinstalled hoping it’d help. It hasn’t. The lack of any form of a response from ANet is a little disturbing. Right now the game itself is unplayable for myself and my wife. It feels like I’ve wasted $120. Very frustrating.
I love this game, but right now I’m considering just uninstalling from my PC altogether. As the game is now, it’s just taking up space and memory and has no value at all.

I’ve given up. I un-installed the game, and am now re-installing again. I did a de-frag, I had tried all the “fixes” posted here, but this is the only thing I haven’t done.
Tomorrow (it’s 4:35 P.M. now, and I’m sure I wont be able to play for another 12 hours) I will see if anything has changed.
If not, I guess I’ll just go back to another game until something (miracle, or otherwise) happens.
Love this game, mind you. Am very, very frustrated with current events.
