If you don’t login, you need to pay to doing Living World, Huh? Anet, None of the Living World stuff so far has been worth paying for, dumbest idea yet!

Anet, if you want money from me, you’ll need to do a hell of a lot better than this!

Dude you just have to log in once within a 2 weeks period. Even if you don’t even play the game that much anymore it is still a very accessible thing

Hi,

I’ve always used my Thermaltake/Tt eSports Theron mouse with no problems as far as binding keys to it goes. I would bind my mouse button 4 and 5 to dodge and weapon swap.

I just started playing again but this time the game won’t recognize my extra buttons when I try to map them in the game. Is there any sort of fix to this aside from mapping directly from the mouse software (which I kinda overwhelming to setup).

P.S: I’ve tried plugging my mouse into another USB slot but that didn’t do anything

Seriously?

I haven’t been able to truly enjoy this game (I’ve even bought the 3-days pre-purchase) yet because of this extremely annoying error. I’m talking about the infamous black screen/crashing error. I’ve rarely played in the past month as I can’t be bothered to log in only to be pressing ctrl+alt+dlt every 5 mins…
I’ve read the Sticky thread, adjusted a few things here and there, updated my drivers, but nothing really works. Underclocking my GPU by 10% using MSI Afterburner made the game run smooth for about a week before the crashes started again. Now that I try AC for the first time, I crash every 5 mins…

Underclocking my GPU by 10% solved my problem. I still think we shouldn’t have too… I did lose 5-10 FPS by doing so

I’ll try MSI Afterburner but honestly I shouldn’t have to underclock my GPU to run a game.

At least this is getting attention ; the thread must remain on the first page. As someone mentionned earlier I don’t really believe A.Net acknowledges how many of us are affected by this issue. AMD, Intel, ATI, nVidia, 32-bit, 64-bit, were all affected.

I had this issue. I found a way to fix it. Let me know if it works for you.

I turned off application profiles and set my graphics drivers to DEFAULT settings. Then the game worked fine. It was an issue with the graphics control panel trying to force Sample rates and Anti-Aliasing.

What do you mean “turn off application profiles”? Is that in the nVidia Control Panel? I’ll look around though thanks.

You’ve probably guessed it ; I’m talking about the infamous Black Screen issue.

I have the error, you have the error, most of GW2Guru has the error (and I didn’t even check the other fansites). How can there be no ETA yet? I’ve bought the game along a brand new laptop at launch and I seriously can’t play it yet? Yes I’ve read the Sticky thread and as you’ve probably noticed it didn’t fix the problem for most of us.

I’ve tried everything ; Reformatting, Driver Sweeping, Using different drivers, etc. Is it too much to ask to be able to play a game we’ve bought?

I hate to be the a.hole that has to call the issue out but it is indeed getting beyond ridiculous.


Core i7 3610QM @ 2.3 GHz
GeForce 660M GTX @ 2.0 GHz
8G of DDR3 RAM
Latest Beta Driver from Aug. 27th (Note that I’ve tried all the other ones too)
