Guild Wars 2

Yeah same, my processor PEAKED at 60 degrees (140F) celcius but averaged at the mid 40’s (104F) which by no stretch of the imagination is HOT for those components. I have the same graphics card as you and I have uninstalled the game because it’s too much hassle and then I’ll see how everything is after a month or two because this clearly isn’t on our end.

I don’t have the report anymore but when I got the black screen, I’m sure a line said something like an animation could not be found or something along those lines, but yeah doesn’t really explain the forced shut downs and crashes.

I highly doubt there is any overheating going on as my system is very new and has a multitude of cooling fans. When it is just the black screen, I get the usual GW2 error that other people report which is to be sent to arena. If it restarts, it gives me the bluescreen error message haha. This doesn’t happen with any other program and if I were to take a GUESS at what the problem could be, I’d say it’s some sort of a graphics card compatibility issue haha. I will reinstall it and give it another go soon.

Just lasted 2 minutes there and I got a red screen followed by a restart. That’s plenty for me.

I keep getting that black screen crash and just there I even had my computer restart because of it.
I can easily play: Dota 2, Planetside 2, Skyrim, Sanctum and my more games on highest settings and no crashes or slow down.
I can play on a constant ~60fps, I do not experience a fps drop prior to crash, it is just very sudden. After my last one I could continue playing but a few seconds later my computer restarted claiming I got a blue screen…

My anti aliasing is at application controlled and I have tried repairing.

Have I just wasted £36 on something I should be able to play but can’t?

Is there any hope this will be fixed or will this game just be left to gather dust?
