Hey! Looks pretty good. I’ll check you guys out when I get home.
Hello all!
I’m looking for a guild for the expansion. I’ve been playing on and off since the launch of GW1. I’m just looking to have fun and participate in all aspects of the game. Strong community of mature folks is a must.
Ideally I’d like an NYC local guild so that some/all of us can meet for drinks/games on occasion. Every time I’ve been in a local guild its been an absolute blast. I’m a 25 year-old guy in Brooklyn. I’m open to other guilds to if you have a strong community.
I’m looking for a guild on Henge of Denravi. Mostly a PvE player looking to hang out with some people and get away from questionable PUGs.
I’ll absolutely play PvP and WvW but I’m just not very competitive at the moment.
My ideal guild would be:
-active in guild chat or mumble/ventrilo
-extremely willing to play content together (any content!)
-relatively mature (I’m not a 14 year-old boy and I don’t love guilds that act like them)
-easy-going (not kitten at legitimate mistakes/ normal noobishness)
-probably PvE focused but willing to play all content (this is also a description of me)
Hit me up in game or on forum. My main is “Slethik” on the server and I’m always around.
I think some of the activities that were mentioned pre-release are not currently in the game. This includes the Shooting Gallery which is in Divinity’s Reach but currently unavailable.
Vile,
I see what you’re saying, “What’s the point of progressing if you don’t go anywhere? Like running on a treadmill.”
But I really do think you’re looking at it wrong and I think you’re doing so because of the way other MMOs are played. Have you ever played Starcraft? Counter-strike? How about plain-old Chess? All of these games start players off with -exactly- the same amount of “power” or “gear” yet they’re incredibly fun, awesome, and enduring games. Most importantly, a “noob” still gets totally and completely stomped into the ground! Best of all, it’s not because he couldn’t possibly win, but rather because you’re wayyyyyyy better. That’s akittengood feeling. Without gear, there’s no way to win if you suck. And that’s awesome…unless of course you suck!
Guild Wars 2 plays like those games. And if you want something to show that you’re as good as you are, armor and weapon customizations let you do that. Win/win!
