Although I still haven’t been able to drop my desired fractal skins, I’m against the player being able to choose/craft his fractal weapon since most players would end up crafting the same GS/Staff/Daggers and it would lose the rarity of these skins.
Instead, I think a similar recipe could be made so a player could take his unwanted skins and forge another random one. Maybe something similar to this:
3-5 Shards ( or maybe keep the Core essence idea);
1 Fractal skin;
3-5 pristines; and
50-150 relics
This would result in a random fractal skin.
This mecanism would be a good way for players to use their Shards/Pristines (that most regular fractal runners have nothing to do with) and still keep it difficult to obtain your fractal skins, since not only do you have to manage to drop a fractal skin, but a continuous amount of Shards/Pristines in order to eventually get your desired skin.

I’ve put this idea in several posts regarding fractals, but I have never seen any feeback from the devs. As a matter of fact, I haven’t seen any feedback from the devs in any topic related to fractal skins/pristines/shards etc.

You can also drop Cavalier Armor in Fractals, I know for I have dropped 2 pieces.

(PS: It would be awesome of a dev could at least post saying that he is reading these threads, since I haven’t seen a dev respond to anything in a fractal related thread)

Though I am not one prone to complaining, I must give my 2 cents regarding these fractal skins.

Fractals are the only dungeon I do and I run them everyday. I started doing them with the sole objective of getting ascended items and fractal skins for my d/f necro. 600 fractals later, I have my ascended rings, a rifle, speargun, 2 axes and a shield.

I do daily 28/38/42 almost everyday and I have not seen a single fractal skin in over 5 weeks, I have over 60 shards and 80 pristine fractals, AND NO FRACTALS SKINS TO USE.

Although I understand why they don’t let us simply choose our fractal skins, since most people would almost at once choose GS/STAFF/DAGGERS, losing the “uniquness” and rarity of the items, I must say I’m pretty bumped out of being stuck with skins I can’t use.

First and foremost, raise the chance to get fractal skins, I have over 80 dailies done after lvl 20 and I have 6 skins to show for it, and most of them I got at the beggining since I have already told I have not gotten a fractal skin in over 5 weeks.

Secound, give us chance to throw our skins in the Mystic Forge and get another RANDOM skin, maybe make a recipe with 1 fractal skin, 4 shards, 3 pristine relics and 50 fractal relics.

I’m not even going to start the discussion regarding RNG rewards in fractals, as a very avid fotm player I just want a better chance to get the fractal skins I desire. Please listen and help us.
