Same thing happened to me just now. I finished the quest “Suspicious Activity,” received a choose of rings and chose Engineer, “Hearty Ring of the Knight”. Then an hour later was on auction house trying to find a similar match for my other ring and noticed that my jewel had disappeared. Whether this occurred after zoning, I’m not sure.
It didn’t bother me until I realized that upgrade slot is now inaccessible and no other jewel can be inserted in its place. Kind of bummed, this game relies on your stats and to lose such a nice ring is upsetting at my level.
