The trading post never works on my mac. I can access the gem store but I can’t sell or buy anything on the market, how convenient for you. Please fix it, i’v had the problem since release and it’s very discouraging since it’s a vital part of the game.

I logged on after resetting the SMC (because the last OS X update resulted in lower performance) and saw this thin black line start from my head and point towards a specific coordinate on the screen, it was interesting to say the least.

I’m glad you’re enjoying the game like that, but I have the same computer and the fact of the matter is we should be able to play on medium to high settings with 80 + fps, and we should be able to play without any fps lag while turning the camera angle. There’s a reason it’s called a beta.

I can’t use the trading post.. There is a consistent loading circle hovering in every tab whenever I go to sell my items. Sometimes it’s up, but most of the time it’s not. I just don’t bother with it anymore, although i’d like to sell the HEAPING PILES of items I have stored away in my bank, wish I had more space but I can’t buy my gems because the trading post doesn’t work. It doesn’t matter what I do – restart the client, restart the comp – same thing happens.

I am experiencing multiple game crashes in areas with lots of people, such as WvW and the cursed shore farming areas (penitent point etc). Usually what happens is I hear this beeping sounds that continues to go on and then eventually the game crashes and I receive an error as my attached picture shows.

I am on the MBPR, Nvidia 650m 1 gig, 8 gigs ram, i7 core 2.3 ghz. This happens to me on pretty much any setting. The last time it happened I was on ALL LOW GRAPHICS SETTINGS with a resolution of 1650×. This is pretty bad, I mean I understand it’s just a beta and everything, but if you can’t participate in some of the largest experiences GW2 has to offer without your client crashing, what are you to do?

I am on the MBPR, 2.3 ghz i7 core, 1GB nvidia 650m, 8 gigs ram, and the trading post is pretty much always down for me. Sometimes it just pops up with the top tab for the black lion company but I can’t do anything, and if I click on any other tabs (trading/selling etc.) it just sits there with a loading circle that never disperses. I’v tried quitting the client and restarting but it doesn’t matter. The only thing I can do is collect the money i got from selling stuff from when the TP did work for me. Most of the time it works if I restart my mac, but I shouldn’t have to restart my mac because that’s inefficient. Any ideas on how to fix?

Yep, I opened up the client and it just decided to reinstall itself. I dunno if its the new halloween update or what. It’s 36% done now with 375 mb, so i doubt it’s the update, especially since it already updated earlier in the day. What gives? I’m playing on the MBPR, i7 core 2.3 gigs, 8 gigs ram, nvidia 650m..

I noticed my guild emblem on the guild armor chest piece does not light up compared to other people’s emblems. Could there be a reason or is it a bug?

Once again, I was at the dragon event in frostgorge sound, but this time I had my graphics settings set to “best performance” with the usual 2048 resolution. It happened twice. The first time the game simply crashed and I was able to load it back up again. Then the same thing happened that happened to me a few days ago with my original crash – I heard these beeping sounds coming out of my left earphone and eventually the game crashed. I had to do a manual reboot of the computer that time.

I am running a lower end MBPR, 2.3 ghz, 8 gigs of ram, nvidia 650m 1 gig. I wasn’t even using the retina display, so for anyone whose using a mac in general, I don’t recommend you go to these dragon events. I hate to say it but run it on windows if you can, I can’t even imagine what lower end mac users experience.

Does anyone have a good build for PvE using an axe/shield or mace/shield? I plan on using this weapon setup rather than 2-handed or dual wielding. I want to be flexible, having good all around support for my team, survivability, and DPS. I’ll probably use more weapons later on but right now my resources are too focused on acquiring the armor.

I’m looking for specific trait build advise as well as armor attribute type (berserker vs knight vs whatever). I plan on crafting the rare for now and work my way up either crafting the exotic of saving up on AC tokens.

Also (sorry for double posts I know), I restarted my mac and can open the client again but haven’t logged in yet. We’ll see if it still works..

Hey people,

I was in Frostgorge Sound and just ran up to the dragon event getting pretty atrocious FPS lag. After a few seconds I hear 3 alarm beeping sounds and then GW2 quit on me, saying “A Critical Error Has Occurred.” I then noticed I couldn’t start GW2 at all, with a message saying I can’t and “-1712” at the bottom.

I am playing on the new MBPR, I had my SMC restarted and my resolution was on 2048. Furthermore, I wasn’t surprised by the FPS lag, even if my SMC was restarted. I was in the middle of a major dragon event with dozens of players, nothing anyone can do about it until the real mac client is released.
