I could have come across as less of a jerk when I wrote it but the suggestion still stands. Having a camera that keeps spinning and preventing me from watching whats happening has become increasingly frustrating since I can’t do anything unless I quit the group(in some but not ALL circumstances)

Don’t die? Maybe, but sometimes you just need to stay on the button. I would like to be able to watch what else is happening unimpeded.
So why is it exactly that any of you oppose this? Do you have some affinity for camera spin upon death? If so then I propose an option to disable it so everyone can be happy.
When I’m dead and I can’t get up or do anything because you’ve decided you aren’t going to let me play until everyone is out of combat no matter HOW long it takes. I don’t need the camera to spin around my body so in order to watch what’s happening I have to readjust it every 5 seconds. It’s obnoxious since I’m already at other players mercy to be able to play again.
I know that there is an attempt to get people into all the areas to add that feeling of life to the game but I also wanted to suggest how to get them into the hometowns.
The main reason people hang out in LA(IMO) is because that’s the best place to spam fro groups and also to get overflows for FotM. Since I assume both of these issues will be rectified in the coming patches it leaves only one other reason that I can think of. Which is transportation.
If you substituted the portal to lions arch in every town with a hub much like the one in LA itself it may go a long way. Instead of having to go to LA and then every other town you could just go straight from one town to another.
The only other obstacle I can see is the free teleport back to LA using the mists or WvW. That could just be corrected allowed free teleports back to a town of your choice.
I’ll mention more survivability to the group. See if they can’t focus more on that and keeping others up. See where it goes from there. Thanks.
I guess I’ll start with a little defense. I was not attempting to vilify them in any way. They are certainly not close minded about tactics or trying new things. I just don’t know ANYTHING about their classes to be of any real help. One of them is a ranger and finding a build for them online is like pulling teeth.
Which is why I’m asking if perhaps they should be trying something supportish because I know they are willing to make the changes required to be successful. We just don’t know if what we have as builds are the problem or the tactics we’re using are.
I recently joined a guild of players semi new to the game(2-3 months) and before that I had been doing a lot of pugging and having no problems. This guild I’m in now came from serious raiding in WoW so I have no doubt in my mind they are far better players than I’ll ever be, but something is lacking in our dungeon groups. We struggle quite a bit with almost any dungeon. When I succeed with PUGs 100% of the time.(Which is just plain wrong)
I’m not at all sure what the problem is. I’m thinking it could perhaps be the lack of support in their builds. I’m fairly certain from what I know of their builds they don’t have anything that really benefits anyone else other than themselves.(Also a lot of condition builds in our groups) I’m really the only one running a build to provide group wide boons and condition removal, but for all I know I could be the problem in the group since I’m not focused enough on my own DPS or my own survivability, who knows.
I guess what I’m asking is HOW important is support exactly? There seems to be three ways it can go:
- Supporting/low DPS
- Minor support/moderate DPS
- Low support/high DPS
I’m thinking all of us should focus on improving ourselves but at the same time have at least one or two abilities to help ourselves as well as help other people, but I want to know what you think.
For me, I’m a warrior running a 10, 10, 0, 30, 20 axe/warhorn, longbow build for condition removal, might and vigor. Like I said I am NOT dismissing myself as the problem here.
I’ve already talked to the building owners. They said there isn’t anything they can do about it or that they will do about it anyway. I asked about private internet but the way they have the cable built into the building wont allow for that either. I was just hoping for a way to work with what I have. Apparently this is not possible. I appreciate the suggestions anyway guys. Thank you.
No, it’s the entire building not just my roommates. Oh well…nine months left on the lease.
I’m currently in an apartment complex with what appears to be a horrible connection. During the slow periods(morning and early day) the connection is fantastic. Speed test.net gives me 50+ megs a second and the game runs great. During the more used hours speed test gives me approximately < .5 of a meg per second. Which I know isn’t that bad on it’s own, but nothing seems to work properly like this. I can’t stream 360p videos on youtube and even GW lags like crazy.
It’s not my computer, unless it’s both of them and my roommates too. I’ve brought this issue up with the front desk but it’s been months and it seems to gradually be getting worse(all throughout the building)
I was wondering if perhaps there is a way to decrease my bandwitdh needs for GW2 or to find someway to increase the total bandwidth I specifically can use? Attempting to play is getting beyond frustrating since I NEED to dodge and see my HP falling before it just disappears all at once in a lag spike.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Question is in the title. I ordered a set of 5 transmutation stones. It took my gems but I never received the items in the mail. Is there a specific place in game I can report this?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
They stickied the gw2lfg.com site which is useable from anywhere in the world.
For my own sake I wish it had remained that way. I consider it a lesson well learned.
I was in Diessa Plateau today completing the zone when I came across the Cattlepult quest. I started it and was reached a point where you bet on how far the cows will go. Now I made the mistake of assuming that the REALLY high bets of 50 silver were just quest bets and didn’t actually count like in other games. This is incorrect. Do NOT bet on this I ended up losing a gold on something I thought was just for fun.
