I am a big fan of GW series starting from GW1 American release. And I must say I am enjoying GW2, but I have a big (for me) question about the skill system…
Let me explain… One of the main things in GW1 I loved was it’s CCG-like (collectible card game like) skill system and the ability to have secondary profession. This gave us unprecedented possibilities to make THE build that perfectly fits it’s player. Actually, this is one of the main game features that kept me online for so long. I could make a new build and the game experience changed, that was very exciting.
GW2, however, gives much less versatility in this matter. You choose class and you only can finetune it later, emphasize one or another of it’s sides, but still you’re limited to the same base mechanics, nothing REALLY new in game experience.
However, the skill system in GW2 definitely allows to implement something like we;ve seen in GW1. I understand that that GW1 free-to-choose system is very difficult to balance, but hey, devs did that in GW1 and did it right, so believe in them!
So I want to ask a question. Is it planned in a near or maybe in a distant future to
1)Add ability to choose new skills for the weapons in addition to the base ones?
2)Add something like secondary profession in GW1?
3)Add new “6-0” skills that could be added to ones that already there?
Thanks a lot for the game and for the coming answer!
