Ok, some of the things I’ve found to keep performance up.
- Enabled 30fps limit
– Window Mode (The system seems to not work as hard)
– Fan control (SMC Fan Control or iStat Menus) maxing out fan speed prior helps a lot.
– Good open ventilation helps. I have mine in a BookArc stand with vents pointing straight up to allow quick/efficient heat ventilation. This seemed to help just as well as any fan based laptop cooling pad.
Request: Window Mode custom resolutions
Personal request, would LOVE to see custom screen resolutions similar to the way you can on a PCs.
It seems that Cider requires static Window resolutions? Why can’t I simply stretch the window to a custom size? Really want to see this work correctly.
