I don’t know what happen but it seem normalized now, i have do the burst rifle skill against a thief berserker amulet and he receive 7k of damage, then he try with cleric and receive 5k damage, so toughness seem work now :P
Try the damage of greatsword 1 skill against a warrior (with 3400 armor – heavy armor) and against a ranger (3200 armor -medium armor), with critical hit you do 1000 to each other.. tryed last night with my brother.
hmmm ok so you think that is a a problem of hotm npc (but is a bug or they want that npc so strong?), but i have see that also in tournament pvp there is the problem that toughness don’t decrease so much damage.. is possible that the damage difference from 2600 and 3400 toughness is only 150 damage (with a hit that do 500 damage)? Is a question i’m very confused xD maybe is like you say that they have make all sigil and runes more powerfull in attack but then also defensive build must be balanced or not?
Try to do the same thing with the same engi and the same thief with the same build in wvw and i’m sure that you don’t read 14k of damage, so if they want that in pvp you receive more damage than pve or wvw why they haven’t write in patch notes? i’m not the only that think that you receive much dmg in pvp (also a lot of my friends and the thread starter say the same thing). If it is a normal thing (for have a fast pvp where people must have an high skill for avoid all attack and hit the target) ok but i want hear this.. i’m almost sure that in pvp there is increased damage and now i can’t prepare build for wvw/pve by testing it in pvp
Ok i have see what is the problem.. toughness work different now in pvp instead of pve orwvw.. with 2600 armor i receive almost the same damage that i receive with 3400 armor ( like 150 dmg difference) and against player.. i test the skill 1 of greatsword with normal damage (without crit) against warrior with 2600 armor and another with 3400 armor.. The first receive 650 dmg and the second 500.. it was so before the patch? i don’t think so..
See the picture.. yes is like before the patch the dmg in pvp.. is not a problem uf runes.. 14k in one hit against deal to a berserker thief from an engi with 1 SKILL (rifle 5 skill) i never see it, max 6k if you are full berserker engi not 14k…… (and she as 17k of life so it is istantkill) they have put ferocity for have critical damage more weak and then they increase all the damage? for me is a bug..
As i say in other post i think that is the armor of all character that is changed.. beucase if i do greatsword skill number 2 i do the same damage to svanir, utahein or other mob in hotm, the problem is that they do to me 5k of damage with one hit (and i have try also with bunker build 3500 armor and i receive 3k of damage, before the patch it was like 1000/1500 dmg and is the same against other people in spvp,), also the ranger’s pet receive so much damage. The strange thing is that in pve/wvw the damage is not so high so is only a “problem” in pvp (or they want this type of pvp i don’t know)…
Hi, i have see after this mega patch that in pvp people (of all professions) receive much damage than normal (for example with a warrior bunker i receive 3/4k of damage against “utahein” in hearts of the mist and also against other player the damage is really increased, before the patch with the same warrior utahein do to me like 1/1500 damage with same attack. The strange thing is that in pve and wvw people and monster don’t do so much damage. Try if you don’t believe me (i have do a camp in wvw with all guard, with the same bunker warrior that was died against utahein). So i think that is a bug and i post it here.
