I was also hacked.

This is what I got from them after asking for a release date/ update on there restore system for giving items back.

“We do not have a date for that, yet. If you are concerned about loss of progress, you should wait. Frankly I think I’d move on, but the choice is yours. We’ll try to update soon on this service.”

“Soon”….is all I have heard from Anet the past month so get used to hearing that if they do ever respond to you.

I made a character and am playing on my Gf’s account funny enough but honestly I would do the same or just flat out quit until they can give an eta on an item restore.

as of now they can do nothing for you.

Yes so if you have been hacked and cleaned out like I was you’re pretty much SOL

I was told to “move on” from Gaile Gray. I’m not quite sure if that meant to move past it and play anyway even though I would lose my progress after a roll back, or “move on” to another game.

pretty nice that after an $80 game purchase along with $30 in gem purchases I get to sit here and not play the game that I paid all this money for.

Personally I will be giving them about 2 more weeks to get the rollback in place and have my items restored before I demand a refund for the entirety of my purchases towards this game.

Not to rant about my situation but it just sucks.

Any news on when the Account Rollback system will be in place?

It’s been 2 weeks since I was hacked and still unable play for fear of losing any current progress on my account.

So explain this is me all knowing master Bluestone…..

I was hacked 3 days ago. My E-mail and password combination are unique to this game with my password including case sensitive letters and numbers making it a strong password. I do virus, spyware, malware ect… scans every 2 days. I have never bought gold/accounts or visited any such website that offers these services. Not to mention that this is a gaming computer in which I use for gaming strictly and pretty much nothing else.

So please explain to me how I left myself open to being hacked and how this is not Anets fault. I have more friends and guild members that take the same security precautions that are reccomended and they still get hacked. I think this game has more hacked account than I saw in Diablo 3 when I played that garbage of a game.

Anyways, Lastrite I am in the same boat as your friend as well. I refuse to play the game that I paid $80 in fear that some kitten bag china farmer is going to log in my account and flush all my time and energy down the toilet.

Anet, fix your lack of account security and implement a rollback or item restoration pronto or you are going to lose the majority of your player base very quickly.
