At the top next to your name – change your status from visible to invisible then back to visible – this should turn on guild chat.

Not sure for how long.. but it worked for me anyways =/

To get the gw2.exe

Run the installer and save it to an easy to find place, for me it was the desktop.

I started the installer – let it drop the folder on the desktop – canceled the download – copied the gw2.exe from the new folder on the desktop – pasted it in my original gw2 folder and launched the exe from there

Also, This was my only fix for this problem as Avast did not have the gw2.exe located in the virus chest or whatever so I could not restore it.

I did not whitelist the gw2.exe in Avast to get it to work again

Re-Installing is not the way to fix it.. you just need to get a copy of the gw2.exe

AR and BP are so boring.. i’ve been PvEing all week. I feel ashamed.

Then stop roaming in 10 man groups and make 2-3 player group like a man.

Seriously tho, Before getting into this match up, I was looking forward to fight BP again and the new Ebay.

I thought Ebay had a lot of roamers, including GF, Sekz, PK and more.

But sadly it was all lie!!!

Sekz are a zerg. Each time I had the pleasure to fight them, it was like 20 vs 3. So I never got to fight them in small skirmish. I fought an Elementalist in BP low land once from Sekz, but I was running my confusion build so he died, as confusion is OP in WvW.

I thought Sekz had some roaming team? Where are they?

PK is another zerg. I have yet to fight them in a small group. Just yesterday, they actually stopped, stacked then charged 20 of there player just to kill me and a warrior. I doubt you needed to stack for that, or maybe we were just at the bad place at the wrong time.

And finally GF, the only guild that looks like a roaming team. But they are more of a Zerg buster team. They are too many for our small group, yet they aren’t a zerg ether. We had some fun fight with them, but I have to bring more people to be on equal footing. We actually helped WAR fight you guys yesterday and it was awesome.

This week is so zergy since the patch. Good thing st least we can see them without culling.

Solo players and 2-3 man groups are for t8 – I heard you can transfer for free.

Why?

Are you affraid to fight without all your boon stack and combo field?

Are you affraid that you won’t be instant rezzed if you get downed?

Stay and hide behind your group, so you’ll never have to ask yourself : Am I really doing good?

I don’t mind zerg and all. But I usually have some enemy roaming guild to fight with, which I didn’t find yet except maybe GF.

I’ll let you go back to your WXP train. Kill some guard for me will you?

I run solo or with my Engineer partner 85% of the time – so please dont try to call me out the other 15% of the time im leading “zergs” of people – usually less than 20 and smashing terribads that play solo or in 2-3 man groups faces in.

And I have never once hid behind a group, ask any of my server mates – They all know Im usually right in the middle of your groups whirlwinding you fools down left and right.

Also, Since when did boon stacking become a “zerg tactic”? – I dont get this one =/

However, I do have a commander tag and, unfortunately for you, the baddy BP’s catch alot of my flak

AD/QQ/BSTY are one of the few groups you need to take seriously when you see them, solid players and good coordination.

I remember when we encountered AD when we originally transferred to NSP while we were still running small man, not somebody you mess around with.

Essentially here’s how things have been going: Ebay and DR completely dominate during the day because BP actually has opponents (Equal numbers for BP is too much for them to handle).

Then, BP caps EVERYTHING while Ebay and DR are sleeping (other than Ebay BL, you guys have kept quite a handle on that place).

The sun is rising atm and I see BP rapidly slipping off of the map, but when I logged in they had nearly everything. So tell me again how BP wins over DR because of tactics and not coverage?

Meh quit your crying and fight…. ive held your BL all day (Uk time) and took most of it with 5 guys and that included 2 up lvl’d players…. not my fault your 10-15 defending couldnt handle 5 of us at first …….. and then oh yes and THEN you throw 30 at our 15 and AGAIN get mowed down…. ya may be able to get it back now ive left =)

it was fun and i closed a gap on those points even though its just around 10k but its better than nothing

On a side note… Bags…. Why cant you just have it auto loot into your inventory instead of leaving a bag…. In a fight you really don’t have time to say “Please Wait a moment good Sir and refrain from slaying me as I must first collect the loot bags I have attained through smiting your brethren. How amazing would it be if bags auto-looted?!?!

With a little over 17,000 WvW kills. I can only imagine the ammount of badges I’ve left laying around in bags

The cost of gear repairs when you’re on a losing server means fewer people are willing to defend and sink more gold into a losing position. PvE is far more rewarding in this regard.

It pays to be in a zerg on a winning server, therefore skill is irrelevant.

I think you have overlooked the most important part of the post. Its in the title.

To touch on your post tho. Repairing is, unfortunately, a part of the WvW money sink. However, the recent match-ups in WvW have all been very even so I would assume that repair bills probably follow suit. I dont think any server really does more “steamrolling” than the other, given some exceptions.

I don’t want repairing as part of the monthly. Too many people needlessly take supply from towers and keeps as it is. Upgrading I could agree with. But honestly there isn’t enough potential upgrades for all the PvErs who would want it. and the Crying from people who claim they can’t get the achievement (instantly upon zoning into wvw) wouldn’t be worth it.

Do you think that if the count was low, say maybe 15 or 25 upgrades for a montly, that there wouldnt be enough to go around? I certainly disagree. I think there would be plenty.

Needless to say… If you really want to get your monthly done you better go cap some supply camps/towers/keeps ;P

Id be more inclined to say things like repairing structures (walls), building siege, capturing points, defending points etc etc would be be better options (aka things that everyone should be doing). I see upgading camps as a tactical decision made by a commander and as such only those directly under their command will usually be doing it.

I do like the idea of those being a part of a monthly quest as well. I do these things already so it would not bother me one bit

I can understand where upgrading things can be a tactical decision, however, there is no reason that the burden of upgrading should fall solely on commanders.

I cannot even begin to count how many times ive asked for people to upgrade objectives while I was commanding and could not get anyone to do it but my guildmates. Likewise, there is no reason the burden should fall solely on them either.

I hear people talk alot about “how much gold they’ve spent in WvW” and I cannot be sure which is total bs and which is not, but I can say that, in the last 11 days I have spent 40 gold 30 donated by my guildmates to upgrade and replenish siege blueprints I would guess rougly 10ish of the gold went to blueprints Does that not seem absurd to anyone else?

I think that upgrading supply camps, towers and keeps should be a part of the monthly quest.

As a player who spends 100% of their time in WvW, it’s absolutely impossible to collect enough gold to constantly keep upgrades on objectives running, buy siege and pay repair bills.

I am a commander of a smaller guild on a tier 4 server, so there is plenty of population to pay for upgrades.

I think that the reason people do not upgrade is that maybe they feel that its a waste of time/gold because the enemy will take it back eventually. However much of the cause this might be, upgrading in WvW is the 2nd most important thing behind having supply.

I think that making upgrading in WvW a part of the monthly would not only benefit WvW as a whole but it would also help players, like me, who only enjoy WvW and do not have the time to farm endless ammounts of gold.

I entered a portal and it did not freeze. I left and tried going in again by using the “B” menu and it seemed to work fine.

Perhaps it was just an isolated incident.

If I try to join any WvW map, by hitting “B” and moving to a borderland, my game client freezes and I have to force close it.

It wasn’t doing it yesterday =/
