Thanks ice although Alacrity does the same but us better i think having used them both
ok after doing what remembrance said the problem was not solved however it did help me in working out what the problem is.
Basicly my CPU Usage is hitting 100% and that is when the FPS spike down.
So with htis knowledge is their anyway to make GW2 less CPU intensive?
I have tried and will run Alacrity which stops all non essential processes but still my CPU usage hits 100% any ideas from people that know this sort of stuff?
@remembrance thanks i will try that now and report back

@easypeasy thanks for ur response i appreciate I am not going to have great performance but would like it to be a steady performance would what u said account for it goin up qnd down every few seconds regardless of what i am doing?
Hi all I really hope someone can help.
Firstly the problem. My FPS continually fluctuate from 20 fps down to 1 to 5 then spike back up and so on, which is making the game very hard to play and will make dungeons and WvW or PvP impossible. Also when I get the loading screen the FPS go up to over 60. Also this happens when I just stand still or am in a big fight.
I have tried every setting on the graphics possible and it makes no difference high or low settings all the same. I have updated my driver. Tried it with gameboost on and off. Tried it at all resolutions from 1024 × 600 up to 1600 × 900 windowed and fullscreen. And with raidcall on and off and it makes no difference to the FPS.
Now I know my laptop is not the best but it should at least run smoothly at lowest settings as I can play Dawn of War 2 ok and WoW ran fine. At 20fps the games seems to run smooth for me so would be please if I could just get it steady at that.
