Apparently the outfit is causing that issue for a lot of people. For me, it started the night before its release, and I’m still having the issue of my game crashing during the loading screen or shortly after spawning. I’ve never had this issue before. I’ve even tried reinstalling the client, to no avail.

I hope this is fixed quickly—I’m in a long distance relationship, and we often use GW2 as a way to spend some sort of time together, and if I can’t play, that’s time gone.

Hey, so, I’m having to run the repair client just to play without crashing since last night. I played yesterday in the early afternoon, and had no issue, and I’ve had no issues like this prior. I’m wondering if it has something to do with the outfit like others are experiencing, or if it’s another problem, because it sounds like a lot of the other issues, but it started last night?

Thanks.

Level 20/30 scrolls for spirit shards?

Exactly, and if every character gets a level scroll for EVERY birthday in the future—say you don’t get another character, that’s 9 every year. A waste. I myself’ll be getting at least 30 each year… oh boy…

I used them for key runs and hung on to a few for new toons. I wouldn’t mind converting them to something else and tomes is an obvious choice.

If anything, I don’t think they would allow them to be converted into tomes, lest the item is negated completely. At least, not 20 tomes. If I could as least convert it to like five tomes, I’d be satisfied. And if I could choose between a number of tomes, or at least something other than another level 20/30 scroll, I’d be fine with that. ANYTHING else would be good at this point, really.

Hey, so, I’m betting that this has been posted about before, but after a while, I’ve ended up with so many level 20 scrolls from birthdays and am starting to get my first 30 scrolls, and I’m wondering if there’d ever be the possibility of trading them for spirit shards when used on a higher level character, or at least a level 80 one.

See, I understand the idea of them, being able to get a character, likely a new one to level 20 or 30 quickly, but here’s the thing… I have 30 characters. I don’t think I need more. I’ll probably end up with a few more because I have a very active imagination and enjoy the roleplay community quite a bit, but I don’t need whole stacks of these tomes, you know? But I would LOVE more spirit shards. Or at least something else to do with them that feels worthy of a birthday gift. I know it creates the incentive for a new character and I’m not criticizing that at all, but eventually they’re just going to get tossed when a birthday rolls around and is overall less exciting. At least the birthday boosters can be useful still.

Molachev kittentails--bug?

So I made a character named “Miss Molly Tov”, and obviously I wanted to get the closest thing I could to actual Molotov kittentails. So I went to Molensk and bought the Molachevs (almost 200…) from the vendor and to my surprise, the did no damage, if any.

The wiki says:
Molachev kittentail is an environmental weapon that can be thrown to create a line of fire. No combo field is created.
Molachev kittentail lasts for 20 seconds and applies 6 seconds of burning per second. (Max 2 Minutes)

Now, what I’ve seen is that they do slight damage if they impact with an enemy, but the line of fire does no burning (or any) damage. Is this intentional? Was it added in in a patch or is this a bug?

(It was censored to “kittentails”)

Rifle Ranger- The dream

I was actually thinking about this myself today. I, personally, would have liked rangers to have rifles for a few reasons. These are just my thoughts on it, and they’re not perfect, but I’m not looking for conflict in saying them.

First off, hell, I just think the rifles are cool. I wish more professions utilized them, and if I had to pick one from the bunch, it would be the ranger. I find it a little awkward, yet totally excusable for warriors to use them, and they’re just fine for engineers, but I wish there was a profession in between that had the range (if not slightly more, if through a trait perhaps) that warriors do with their rifles while having the disadvantage of weaker armor, but obviously some sort of payoff in it in the skill department.

Also, I like the idea of the medium armor classes being the masters of physical projectile weapons, and they totally are as they are right now. But I, personally, like the idea of the ranger having a rifle, thief having pistols, and engineering being the only one to utilize both.

One of the reasons I was initially surprised they couldn’t use rifles was the fact that they could use spearguns. I mean, I understand that they’re different technologies that function similarly, but as it is, as a ranger, you can have a rifle underwater but not on land, and that just seems weird to me.

Anyway, these are just a few of my thoughts, and I’m not trying to make it sound like I’m complaining, I just like the idea of rangers having rifles.

Female Light Armor Leggings -- All skirts?

I’d like greater armor variety in general. More skirts for medium (not trenchcoat or butt cape. Think studded leather gw1 armor), more non-trenchcoat tops for medium, more pants for light.

Of course I say I’d like more variety but it’ll only ever come in the gem store. Shame.

I’d like to see leggings without skirts, too. But I’d also like “coats”/“chest pieces” that aren’t bimbo tops that show lots of skin and are not just slightly girlized versions of what they guys’ is. Something that’s truly pretty. If a warrior can run around with her breasts hanging out (good deity, even Scottish warriors are smart enough to put multiple layers of cloth over their delicates), they can also run around wearing more frilly clothes. Each is equally impractical! And I won’t even start on the hideous options for head armor – I hide it, unless I have on my aviator glasses.

I agree with both of you—more variety is good. At least when it comes to length. I ended up getting the Krytan armor for my ranger because it looked like a vest and didn’t act as a tailcoat, but mostly because there wasn’t much for options then.

I might as well add that more medium chest armor that doesn’t go past the the thighs or waist would be nice as well. Because cloaks are cool but I don’t imagine the most agile rangers or thieves wearing cloaks…

It seems that most of the leggings are some sort of skirt. Am I the only wanting something to be more like normal pants?

It’s just that, some of the armor looks like it’d be much cool accompanied with pants of some sort rather than a skirt. Like, for example, the Trickster’s Vest. It looks really cool but it just seems a little out of place with a lot of the leggings… including the Trickster’s Leggings.

Also, I’ve made a female pyromancer that’s still on the masculine side, and it just seems awkward putting a skirt on her.

I think it would be nice to see some light armor leggings that aren’t skirts in the future.

Hi, so I have this character who is a human, female, elementalist and I’m trying to make a look a I like for her. The thing is, most of the bottoms for armor are dressy, cloaky, or skirt-like, and, trying to take my character’s personality into consideration, she really isn’t the type to wear long clothing, but there doesn’t seem to be many options beyond those besides the Ascalonian Catacombs legs, Profane bottoms, Country pants, and the Embroidered pants. Are there any more? I’m looking for something pant-like, but not as baggy as the Embroidered pants. I just want to know if I’m seeing all of the options I have to work with beyond what I’ve mentioned up top. If anyone could give me some feedback, I’d be much obliged.
