Guild Wars 2

I hope this is the right forum for this inquiry, if not, I apologize. Anyway, I recently noticed that the Raidcall overlay is not working for this game (it’s the only one I use it for). This makes me sad because I really loved using it. I’m not good at recognizing everyone I talk to by voice alone. If anyone out there also uses Raidcall overlay while playing, are you experiencing the same issues? If not, any advice on how to get the overlay to work?

I feel incredibly stupid, but clearly the cache worked. I actually had two cache files (one from this month and one from last month), so I think they were interfering with the BLTP. Thanks for the help Kylla and StinVec!

I’m on Windows, I’ve tried switching languages. BLTP will load in another language, but as soon as I change it back to English, it stops working. I guess I could try deleting the cache.

The attached screenshot is what essentially shows up. The top part of nearly all the tabs load, but the number of gems I have is never shown (which is on the bottom of the window in the other tabs). The number of gems I have is shown in the wallet though. The awesomium.exe process is running in my task manager though. The “Pick Up” tab is still fully functional though, but that’s it.

I thought that these updates might be able to resolve the BLTC problem, but it’s still the same after checking. I guess I could try and see if my firewall mysteriously turned on . . .

I’m really hoping I don’t have to reinstall.

The BLTP doesn’t work for me at all, and I’ve tried logging out and back in. This problem has been with me since yesterday. Basically what happens is it will show the screen, but all the details won’t load. So I can’t buy, sell, or even use the gem store. I’ve filed a report for this, but was curious if anyone else was having this problem.

I assume this person wants guild commendations to buy things like ascended accessories without personally committing to a guild. I personally don’t mind you doing this, as you are upfront about your intentions and willing to compensate the guild.

If the commendations come with you across servers and you were willing to guest on Sea of Sorrows, I could ask my guild leader if it was okay for you guest on guild bounties. We usually run them on Saturdays around 6pm Pacific Standard Time. Otherwise, I wish you luck in finding guilds to guest on!

Blacksun Legion [BSL] is a casual PvX guild. Though based in Sea of Sorrows, we welcome members from any server because of guesting. Please accept my apologies if I kill you, but I probably will if you are anywhere near a place where you can potentially do any harm to my server’s efforts. I wish I could trust that a wave meant there was no chance of a red player doing harm, but the fact is there are people who will join your server or even your voice comms to undermine you, so it’s hard to trust anyone you encounter randomly. I have no doubt there are some players who only act like they mean no harm, when really they do, which is unfortunate for the rest of you.

I can’t speak for the other carebears (carebear for life! wut wut!), but I wouldn’t take offense to you killing me if our servers are pitted against each other. There is nothing dishonorable about helping your server win. I have nothing but the uttermost respect for invaders that defeat me. It does bother me when invaders try to desecrate my corpse (camping is okay) or a bunch of them pass me in a JP and wait until the end to kill me. Even then, “meh, just a game.” I can always take my rage out in a zerg or a dungeon or something else. =)

OP has the right idea. We’ve been fighting each other at the expense of thousands and thousands of lives. The end of all this fighting is nowhere in sight. For months we’ve lost our brothers, sisters, neighbors and friends to this endless war—clearly it is not working, for when we DO conquer or become defeated by the enemy, a new one takes their place. And frankly, with all the towers and keeps, there is still not enough bed space. We have no children because it is far too much of a liability to bring more innocents into this world, and our supply is never so high that we could feed their hungry mouths.

This endless war isn’t working. It’s about time we negotiate with our enemies and draft some treaties. If we humans can come to terms and befriend the Charr, or put up with the Asura with their relentless arrogance, coming to an agreement with our enemy shouldn’t be difficult.

“WvW players of gw2, unite!” <—- I like that! :-) I actually have an idea to do just that. Not long term but, as our own special event for an 8 hr period before reset. Still working out the details.

Before any roamers start the whinefest, it’s only 5% of the week being used for the event. And, especially when Dueling and GvG are already a part of the plan.

Your idea is awesome and I love you. I sorta wished that right before server reset, everyone would be peaceful. Then during that time where points stop counting, everyone go crazy and kill each other . . . or stay peaceful, it’s fun either way.

What server are you on? I’m Sea of Sorrows. If we’re on different servers and fighting each other, I would be happy to partake in such events. You can even kill me afterward, I don’t care lol.

I actually have the most fun right before reset when my server is losing. Since nothing I do makes a difference, I throw away all sense of self-preservation and fight armorless. One time, I got a few players to be armorless with me while we took our keep back. Also, I like roaming without weapons or armor and see how many invaders will attack me at once (the record is about 15). And before anyone judges, these activities make up a very small fraction of my WvW play.

Your response actually reminded me of a conversation I had with a friend about spotting the difference between a female player and a male impersonator. I came to the conclusion the only way was to talk about periods, lols were had.

Nice WvW players of gw2, unite! We should make a game wide pact to break WvW by being excessively nice to each other.

But seriously, good for you OP! I always cherish the moments in WvW where invaders are being nice to each other. I generally don’t attack unless provoked in the JPs (anywhere else, I won’t hesitate), but I also don’t rage if invaders choose to kill me. What does bother me is when I’m being nice to a few solo invaders and they all gang up on me at the end! I mean geez, I’m a naked staff ele. I will die in almost all 1v1!

And now some moments of peace between invaders!

As a female gamer (with a masculine account name), I am greatly disappointed in never having the opportunity to reveal my gender and being bombarded with flirting and free gifts! Curse you enlightened mmo! ~shakes fist at gw2 community~

But seriously, I was pleasantly surprised by the community’s maturity. One of the reasons I was afraid of mmos was because of stories I heard (not even having to do with being female) of people being mean. So it’s even more surprising to hear stories from the ladies here about the extra grief associated with being female.

As for the ratio in this game, I always assumed it was about 50% (give or take) for each gender. In fact, my guild has quite a few active ladies. There were about five of us in voice chat during a guild bounty (I think there were about 10 guildies participating in bounty).

I would like to thank all the gaming women who came before me. Your courage is most likely why I’ve had such a positive experience here.

Sorry guys, I had no idea you could have more than one leader in a guild. I’ve never formed my own guild and the other guilds I joined only had one leader. I am perfectly okay with multiple guild leaders.

I shall now edit my original post accordingly. Any comments about my other suggestions or are they nullified with more than one leader?

Edit: I’ve discovered that you can have more than one leader in guilds, which kinda undoes all my inquiries. The only thing left to wonder is if there is a system where leaders can moderate one another.

Original Message: I’ve noticed there has been a lot of discussion with guild management issues (yay!), but none specifically about the guild leader rank. Maybe there is a thread about it, but I haven’t found it (and if there is, link it to me so I can read up!).

I understand that there should only be one member who is guild leader, but I think if the guild leader knows he/she is going to become inactive or is simply tired of the responsibility, they should be able to appoint a new leader. I think this would be a better option as opposed to a guild straight up dying because of an inactive leader and other members being forced to create a new guild when they put so much time into the previous one.

Anyone else have thoughts on this subject?

Thanks for the info guys! As I suspected, the dungeon order is out of whack as AC seems significantly harder (to me, matter of opinion) then other higher level dungeons. I’ll probably either finish AC or tackle CoF next.

I’ve had this happen to me in the Wintersday Jumping Puzzle! Jumping up and down in this mode is absolutely hilarious. I think I made it halfway through that puzzle in faceplant mode until I died. Wish I took screenshots of that. =(

After reading all these comments so far, I am greatly disappointed in the fact I have not swam on land!

For me, I think there was some enemy siege up and I got blasted out of the champion area and glitched down.

I apologize if this has been asked before, and if it has been discussed extensively, please link the thread to me. Anyway, I was wondering what order was recommended for explore mode dungeons. So far I’ve finished all of Twilight Arbor in explore mode and found that relatively easy (once I got a handle of the mechanics). I’ve also done AC path 3 about a week ago. I found this dungeon difficult (had to take advantage of terrain to survive) but doable.

So what dungeons should I try next in order of easiest to most difficult?

I don’t know where this topic should actually be, so I won’t be offended if this thread is moved. Rather than focus on the bugs/glitches we hate, I thought it would be nice to have a thread devoted to the bugs/glitches we love! So please share pictures, videos, and/or stories of hilarious glitches/bugs! I’ll start!

First image: That be a stag stuck in a tree. I didn’t have the heart to kill the helpless stag.

Second Image: That is the elusive Land Risen Bull Shark. I hate sharks, so I killed it mercilessly!

Third Image: That is a Tar Elemental that spawned on top of a pole in Orr. I couldn’t kill him as he regenerated health at a ridiculously rate, but he disappeared after killing enough tar elementals for that one dynamic event.

Fourth Image: Don’t mind me. Just floating in midair off Overlook Keep in WvW

Fifth Image: I glitched underneath the champion area at a tower in WvW. I took out the champion, but couldn’t do much after that. Also a bunch of Fort Aspenwood Invaders killed me for being stuck there lol.

I ended up completing 7 dailies. I can’t remember if I completed two simultaneously, but I got no rewards for today either!

I also didn’t find a post about that, which is why I was so concerned over my actions. But it makes me feel better that there was something about this topic, even if I can’t find it.

So I received a karka chest in the mail yesterday. I know I’m not supposed to open it unless I’m logged in with the character I did the event with, but I wanted to remove some of my mail clutter because I’ve been having problems with it being full. Anyway, I was on a lower level alt when I received this mail. I didn’t open the chest, but I moved the unopened item to the bank so I could delete all my recent messages. The description said it was account bound, so I wasn’t worried about my main character receiving it.

Anyway, does simply removing the unopened item from the inbox count as the chest being opened or does actually double clicking open count? I’m afraid the items I receive will be will be scaled down because I simply moved the unopenedchest to the bank with a low level character.
