Why should anyone wait for match making, and ladders in January? Match making should of been here post launch, if not.. At least a month after launch. This is why sPvP is dropping players consistently. What do you guys think about having to wait, again after the PvE players are catered to?

10-slot and higher in particular since those are the ones not visible to everyone.

I’m not sure if Dolyak is a 10 slot but last I checked at the Dolyak vender (20+) it was 500 glory.

New players come into the PvP life of Gw2 to be crushed by people who have been playing for a while, get discouraged and stop playing PvP all together.

Exactly. This kills a huge amount of player base for sPvP. What are they waiting for? New Years? Match making/Ladder should of been in place within a month of launch. This is getting ridiculous. Whats the point of PvPing if there is no challenge/satisfaction from becoming good at a profession?

So yea, I just saw the patch notes and i’m pretty stunned. No buff to warriors, no change to unviable weaponsets (Thief P/P), no nerf to mesmer, no nerf to bunker-guards, no “real” buff to rangers, no nerf to bunker-eles.

Is there more coming or was that all?

We didn’t need any balances right now regardless. Where is our ranking, match making, arena, dueling, rent a server, and a way to get elite teams into paids rather then frees?

Why, on earth would you change, balance, nerf, buff anything related to underwater combat? The majority of the PvP community does not even enjoy this feature. We want balances on current issues on a variety of things.
Lower the req. rank points to level up. (It should not take 2 1/2 years to hit 80 (the math has been done)).
Relating to ROC fix the skirmisher bug that doesn’t allow you to get the points from it.
And more.
Why not give more light on the PvP scene?
Like many posts before my own, so many people have quit playing this game that originally enjoyed it due to PvP.
Everyone that plays paid tournaments knows each other because our community in it is so small these days, with only about an hour window in the middle of the night that they “pop”

While I think rank speed is fine. Anet clearly is missing what the sPvP community is saying. This game can’t be an eSport without…. Ranking, spectating and match making. I really was hoping for something great for this patch/event for sPvP. We didn’t get anything but ridiculously underwhelming nerfs/balances.

I did. I may have missed it, but I didn’t see anything besides class changes and some festive things for sPvP.

The point of this topic was to discuss not having it after all this time.
