So it’s become pretty apparent that Blackgate is being actively double-teamed by the Tarnished Coast and Jade Quarry. It’s a strategy that they’ve used against us frequently before the tournament, and all you need to do is look at the tournament scores to see when they’re double-teaming us.
In the first round, we faced JQ and TC and soundly beat them 276k to 224k and 240k, respectively.
The next round, we only faced TC of the two, and beat them by 30k.
The third round was when JQ and TC began to double-team us in the tournament, shown by how Blackgate was butchered 168k to Jade Quarry’s 277k and Tarnished Coast’s 258k.
The fourth round, we faced only JQ of the pair, and soundly beat them by 40k.
This pattern continues, as anyone can see by looking at the scores documented on the wiki. It’s clearly shown that Blackgate can win against either team when they are separated and when they aren’t allied against us. I personally don’t care if we get double-teamed in the off-season, because it doesn’t matter. However, it seems rather unfair to me that Blackgate is getting double-teamed during a tournament, where the score amounts to a reward. It’s pretty much impossible for us to win if it isn’t going to be a fair fight.
My main question is:
Does ArenaNet realize this is going on, and if they do, do they plan on doing anything about it? Can they do anything about it? Is it considered fair for unofficial alliances to be formed, or is it an unfair disadvantage because there is no real counter to it?
