Guild Wars 2

The thought of pocket healers make me sad. I’ve been in way too many games where one “wants to be the super healer! (annoying healer)”, especially in PvP. I came from Rift and you should see the amounts of heals tossed around in that game. Even with classes that could reduce healing to 50%, the healers were basically invinsible and could heal through especially if they had others (which was rare to only have 1 healer in a raid of 20). I think pure healers just ruins the content because you add a full spec to that, then they need to increase DPS output of classes to trash a healer that is solo healing which leads to more inbalance.

Keep the game how it is. I love this change tbh; it is more real life scenario than “hey I just got shot with a shotgun, I am so dead”… “It’s ok I shall heal you with one skill and TADA the shotgun is useless now” :p

LOL Corian! Yea, I had two rogues, two clerics, one warrior, and one mage. My clerics were more or so invinsible unless I was purged constantly and focussed by a raid. So I definitely know what you mean by the chloro point cause I had a chloro spec that would even outheal some clerics in 50s lol

I love to hear that Okamie. The community itself is what keeps me hooked in an MMO. I, myself, am downloading the updates now, and I cannot wait to be on here. What server are you on? I’d like to be there, considering how positive you seem! Birds of a feather flock together

I like the idea of that Corian! Pocket healers in PvP can be quite a nuisance to be honest lol. All roles should have some type of healing but not overly done which I have experienced in Rift PvP: if the raid doesn’t focus fire the healer, the healer can sustain themself as well as the raid. lol

Ah, I cancelled Rift sub already. I’ve been on it plenty enough and dealt with the numerous trolls that flooded in from WoW. I was actually debating on going back to LOTRO for the community. But I’d rather have something new and fresh to start at first, but thank you for the forewarned advise! I’ll probably enjoy this game. I am a gamehead —- community is what keeps me locked into a game, not the game itself

That’s terrific! I usually play rogues and healers. So I am assuming guardian and a thief would be my route of professions once I get into the game, and maybe an elementalist/necro once I set my thief and guardian up in the ranks

So right now I am downloading the updates, and I am very anxious to see what GW2 is all about. I can’t wait to see you all in there and PvP with the best of ya! I came over from a legacy of gaming which my latest was Rift. I am glad to find a new home elsewhere with the GuildWars 2 community!
