Alright, I’m just about to hit lvl 80 and I feel like i’ve got a good enough grasp on combat and how my class works well enough to go full Zerker gear. Could I get a full set at the Temples of Orr?

Should I wait until I am lvl 80 to buy armor? or does that not really matter?

Transitioning from PvE to WvW, ditch the berserker gear and slowly add it back as you get better at WvW.

What gear would you recommend I get?

What’s your profession? What gear are you using now? Do you intend to mostly run with zergs or roam in small groups/solo?

PVT gear is good starter armor for WvW.

I play as a thief. Using PvE gear with Power/Precision. Going to run in small groups and solo. Where do I find PVT gear?
Sorry for the newb questions!

This may sound like a noob question, and it is. I am new to WvW and I die really, REALLY easily at the hands of enemy players. So my question is: Is there a difference between WvW armor and PvE armor when it comes to enemy players? Does WvW armor have something like a slight resistance to enemy players? I feel like my damage is fine and that I’m just extremely squishy. Thank you for your time reading this question.

And just to save the trolls some trouble “I’m a noob, kill myself”

Hey everyone! So I’ve been playing a thief and I absolutely love it so far. My build is usually sword/pistol and I usually do a decent amount of damage on NPC’s with fairly high survivability and I usually span Black Powder if I pull more than two NPC’s at once. This is fun and all but it is starting to get a little boring so I want to get into a good d/d build to crank up the intensity. However, I noticed that some of the perks in critical strikes and trickery increase damage/crit when attacking from behind or the side. What I’m wondering is if you are in the middle of a fight with a mob can you run around or use Death Blossom on an NPC or are they too responsive like the NPC’s in World of Warcraft. Are these traits mainly for PvP or are they easy to use in PvE? Sorry if that doesn’t make sense!
