PLEASE fix our shroud #2 skill!

I’m sure I’m not alone. You’re chasing someone, they’re 10% health, you rush right at them with your #2 shroud skill…only to hit them once while they laugh and melt your face.

Please, fix the hit box on our #2 shroud skill. Its ridiculous that even for a gap closer, it hits maybe 1-2 hits out of all of them MOST of the time.

Please stop focusing on nerfing us and instead fixing mechanics, we want our hit box fixed!

Personally I like hybrid for most dungeon runs. Granted yes you will not have near as much condition damage as a pure specced condition necro, nor will you burst as hard as a warrior or thief. However, you can be decent at both.

I usually run with scepter and dagger until I notice max stacks of condition, then hit blood is power, send the bleed on me to the enemy via deathly swarm, switch to axe/focus, throw the reaper scythe to hit even more invuln, then channel my claws. I just recently hit 80 and am working on my full rampager set from CoF, but I must say I like how it works so far.

Again, thats my personal opinion. I have no idea how good hybrids are at lets say fractals etc (if anyone would like to chime in who is a more experienced dungeon necro please do!)

I’m wondering how well a hybrid would work, scepter/dagger and axe/focus for weapons.

Curiously, what would be the best choices for armor/traits/weapons for a power wells build?

Hey guys, so I’ve been toying around with a few ideas. Basically the group I like to run static with involves around 2-3 warriors in full crit, along with a guardian/mesmer and then me, which I’m looking to get my necro in on the action.

Based on this setup, what would you recommend a good dungeon build? I’m not sure if full-on condition would be the best setup for this group, but then again i’m a bit new to the necro dungeon scene.

Hey guys. So I know that necro’s do excel at condition builds, due to how they work and transferring conditions etc.

What I wanted to know, besides a standard condition build (And juggermancer, for some reason that playstyle doesn’t really appeal to me), what other dungeon builds have been found successful?

I’m sorry if this has been posted, but i’ve seen general builds but not dungeon-focused ones. I’ve seen things like Hybrid, but not much specification into it.

I just wanted to thank you all for the replies. I was hoping that there were more options beyond “You need 3 warriors and a guardian plus anything else” for the dungeon path, and I’m very glad to see there are

Mesmers and Dungeons

So I’ve been toying around and trying to find a fairly viable Mesmer build for dungeons. I’ve been told by a few players that basically you need a guardian, 2-3 crit warriors, and a warm body to run most dungeons successfully.

I’m hoping to make my mesmer that warm body for the most part, due to time warp. I’ve been really liking using phantasms, such as the warlock or duelist, but also having a precision/crit build for the GS to use while the phantasms are up and running. Been toying around with a sword/pistol and gs, or staff/gs build.

The only thing I’m finding a problem with is it seems like the staff is more of a condition needed weapon. I know there are some dungeon builds out, but nothing like what I’m looking for.

Basically, what builds that include phantasms have been particularly effective in dungeons? Warlocks, Duelists, etc? Also, should it be more of a condition with staff or is there a good precision build that utilizes phantasms?

Warrior trait choices

So I’ve already decided i’m going greatsword main on the warrior, axe/shield offhand, and I’m wondering what other warriors have found out to assist with my trait choices

I was thinking a 20 str 30 arms 20 disc to focus on greatsword skills, and the precision with not-used signets, and focusing having a few signets equipped with bull-rush, but wanted to know what your overall opinion was. Is your crit high enough without the signet/arms talent for that or can you never have enough crit?
