Looking for RP/PVE/WVW Guild

My girlfriend and I have been playing Guild Wars 2 for some time now and have enjoyed the PVE aspect of the game very much, but are seeking something more substantial from the game at this point. We have barely begun to explore the RP on Tarnished Coast, as this was the server we were told had the best opportunites for locating RP. We both come from an RP background and have roleplayed for years in a number of games (Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2, and SWTOR) however the lore of the Guild Wars game is largely new to us.

We are currently situated on Sanctum of Rall server, but are willing to switch servers if we manage to find a guild that is both friendly and welcoming to those new to the rp community here. We would prefer an rp guild that is somewhat well established, though small enough that we don’t find ourselves lost in the ranks and our presence barely noticed. That being said, we also look for an active guild, whose members participate in events regularly and are a recognized guild in the community.

We are both very friendly and open players, open to any and all rp as well as PVE and even to a lesser extent (at least in the case of my girlfriend) WVW and PVP. We both currently have one level 80 character each ( Norn Ranger and her a Norn Elementalist), and are working on several newer characters at the moment (Mine: Human Thief, Human Warrior, Asura Engineer Hers: Human Mesmer, Human Guardian, Asura Ranger) all of whom we would welcome roleplay with.

Stop punishing the more dedicated players.

Sorry but Lilith is right. You are wrong. Live with it. Its not the end of the world.

Recipe level requirements need to be changed.

It seems ridiculous that my level 21 chef can create any recipe he wants no matter the level, and yet I saved up for and purchased a Tray of Omnomberry Bars from the Mystic Forge and now I can’t learn the recipe as I am not level 80.
Crafting should not be restricted to any level, so lower level players can sell their goods even though they themselves may not be able to use them. If this doesn’t seem reasonable then abolish all recipes above the player’s level so they can’t unlock them til that level is reached. Either or should be implemented so there is no confusion.
Saving up the required mystic coins, crystals, Elonian wine, etc only to find out you can’t use the recipe is VERY frustrating to the player who did all the work. AT THE VERY LEAST….issue a warning when purchasing the item so the player knows he won’t be able to learn the recipe. One assumes that if he can manufacture an Omnomberry bar in his crafting table, he SHOULD be able to craft the recipe as well. Seems reasonable does it not?

Need help with build and equipment please.

Hi there,
I am relatively new to the game as far as builds and gearing up characters. I am wondering if I can get some suggestions from more experienced players regarding my Norn Ranger. I am interested in mostly PVE and Dungeons/Fractals. PVP can come later on, though I am also open to suggestions for when I do get around to some PVP.
For now, I need some help with which stats to stack and which traits/skills are useful as well as which pets are the most useful to bring along. I find I like Shortbow and Axe/Torch and alternate between my Jaguar and Polar Bear. I am now level 80 and would like to gear up my Ranger properly. I currently have Rampager equipment but I have heard that this is not the route to go. Please offer some helpful suggestions if you can, its all appreciated. Thanks.
