Hi guys!
So I’ve recently purchased a 144hz Gaming Monitor (BenQ XL2720Z) which works wonderfully on many of my single-player games, however, since Guild Wars 2 is my “main” game I spend the most time in, I certainly have more times when my framerate can fluctuate wildly between 30fps – 100+ fps depending on what I’m doing and where I am.
So I ask… should I just not expect anything in terms of trying to optimize GW2 to take advantage of my display? If you also have a 144hz monitor, do you just accept that GW2 won’t take advantage of it or are there some specific optimizations you make to the game and Windows/3rd party software to optimize the game to run better and make some use of your display?
for the record, I’m working with:
- Intel 3570K @ 4.4Ghz
- GeForce GTX 970
- 16GB RAM
Are there any in-game settings, monitor settings, and/or 3rd party apps & settings that I should be aware of to improve my performance?
