Also, Faux came to our forums months ago, Subtle challenged him (EB) to GvG, and Faux became evasive and declined. Get your facts straight.

Evasive how? My post was about a Fight Club sort of deal which are 1v1s. Subtle messaged me about a GvG – which wasn’t what I was originally asking about. Your own moderator came to my defense when players started attacking the event I was trying to set up. When I talked to Subtle in PMs about it, we couldn’t schedule a time that matched both of our schedules. By that time, there were only two days left in the matchup, and the fight never happened. He was very polite the whole time, and so was I.

This is true – For Faux Sake (i love that name) and I did talk – but schedules were not lining up. Both of us wanted to put best players on the map and we could not make it happen. Also note that For Faux Sake is a member on the yaksbend.com website and does contribute to our threads and our community

Nice fight on EBBL tonight. Almost had Bay on numerous occasions, but I think EB must have summoned their entire WvW force to save it… barely.

We actually didn’t have that many people. There were hardly enough people to man the siege for the most part. The only reason it seemed like we had so many probably was since everyone who died would use the waypoint whenever it reset in the bay, and that waypoint is right there in the lords room where all the fighting was going on. You guys would nearly wipe us then we would revive in force enough to surprise those not expecting 25 more people suddenly to be in the fight.

We also had groups protecting dolyaks, running supply from garrison, etc etc the whole time… almost completely ignored.

Naw, I could count you guys pretty well whenever you pushed out into the open, you had at least 40 for sure, more if you count the runners and yak escorts. Meanwhile you lost everything else outside your BL, so the rational conclusion to me is that all your dudes were defending Bay.

Speaking of runners and escorts, yeah we did kitten that up pretty bad. I think everyone was having too much fun farming bags to go do the chores. =/ You guys are still pretty squishy out in the open but you’ve definitely improved your keep defense, props.

Recheck your eyes, Ebay dominates the open field with yaks bend every time. We had maybe 20 people total defending excluding runners. Sorry to rain on your parade.

Laughable, nice flame bait though. EB has some guilds that can wipe our pugs, and apparently you can defend 1700 Keeps if you summon your entire weekend NA primetime force of “20 people.” But YB dominates open field equal numbers, when our main guilds are actually present.

Obvious troll is Obvious. What main guilds? I’d love to hear this because I’ve stomped people from Rawr to CL to War. What guilds am I missing so I am to prepare myself against these superior enemies sir?

When you say people, do you mean you and ur 5man show up and roll one dude? Or are you saying you guys are doing a group vs group?

CL plays different maps than I do (due to guild sizes)- so I can’t speak for them but – I can say its would be pretty impressive to see you regularly beat Rawr or War open field in group fights.

Make sure to msg me in the evenings – let me know where you are (what BL) so i can position to meet up with you for hugs.

I wonder if some thought could be put towards an up upgrade you can do to a fully upgraded keep/tower/SM that would show stealthed players.

So my first character is a thief. I have 20k kills with him – I have played/mastered most of the common builds. P/D, D/D, S/D, S/P – Played all at a high level – Amassed 1000’s of badges. Then I rolled a guardian – With my prior knowledge of playing a thief – good thieves are good bad thieves are dead every time – and there are a lot of bad thieves

The ONLY reason why Ebay got SM taken away from them is because they would not stop trebbing Yaks stuff.

Took about 10mins from the first treb shot – to us in the lords room setting up siege.

This weekend I tried to be on at different hours of the day (including late, late at night and early morning) to find some decent opposition. (It sucks to just be able to brute force a map and win cause you only have 50 people on EB) ONLY to find out its Newyear? or something? for the majority of CD. Would love to butt heads with some of the off peak CD Commanders and see how that goes.

Does CD every have a Q NA TZ on EB? Did CD have a Q at Reset on Friday or any point of the weekend? AND did CD have a Q in the last say 8-10 hours?

Yep and that’s what happens.
People like ME drop 36+ hours on the weekend to get a massive point lead because WE HAVE TO. Where as – CD can log in at 2am my time – get a 600+ point lead with little opposition during the week to come back for the win.

ALSO – those who take the map at 2 am, can log off at 6am and leave 60-70 people across all map to maintain score lead against the smaller Asian population SBI and YB. Where as both YB and SBI needs to stay logged in USPrimetimes to keep the points up.

Its annoying is all.

Unfortunately, and I mean no disrespect, I think this is a perfect example of one of the problems I see with Yak’s Bend. Your mentality is so rooted in numbers, that you guys seem to give up and forget strategy.

40 man zergs are not the ideal play style, and they are not at all necessary. I run a guild that at most fields 15 people, and there is rarely a tower we can’t take, and a keep we can’t pressure. If I could have one 40 man zerg or two 15 man organized groups, I would go with organization any day. We learned, as a server, how to do this because we were so often outmanned. We know siege placements, work together, know how to ninja, and have some of the best mesmers in the game. These are more important than numbers any day.

It’s easy to say these things when you have the overall numbers in your favor. Yak’s Bend’s mentality is fine. We have people who are organized. Like all servers, we have many people who run around aimlessly – every server has those people. Also, there’s only so much a “ninja” group can do. You take a tower or two and word gets around to the enemy and they finally root you out because of their numbers.

The good thing about Yak’s Bend is that we have a relatively stable membership. When all the servers that have been poisoned by over-transfers rise to the top, we will end up in the middle Tier with even matchups and loads of fun. We don’t need the drama that comes with over-populating a server.

This. Your group of 15 is nothing when you get rushed by 40 level 2 and 3 lowbies. I love our community. Would we say no to a few transfers? Probably not. Do we want to be a tier 1 server? No. Do we want to deal with 3hour Q times? No. Not even 1 hour Q times.

Friday comes – you will be up a tier we deal with DB and KA – maybe get dropped a tier then things go back to normal and the good fights happen again.

Meantime – Yaks – Lowbie Zergs again tonight!!! Watch for the announcement in LA.

What happened to Yak’s, I understand why IoJ is having problems. But Yak’s can’t of lost that many, one of problems I’ve seen with Yak’s groups you guys run 80% low levels where Mag runs 80% geared lvl 80’s….

So last night that 80% of lowbies you saw? We were all level 2 or whatever. As level 2’s we almost took SM from you :P (ok fine there were literally about 120 of us)

Edit: It was really funny to see like us drop like flies to a few AOEs.

I’ve been running with /0/0/30/20/20 for a week and am liking my survivability but I haven’t found good gear to go with it. Plus, I’m working towards my legendary so I’m trying not to spend gold on things that aren’t working towards it, which sucks whenever I get through watching videos like this =(

I run the same build – Full carrion with cryscola gems – with full Condition stacks with Might food (forget the name – Convo me tonight i will link you) rocking 150 ticks. BUT i need that much focus on defense due to always sporting the blue tag.

Solution: either Bunzy or dreztina moves to YB. YB’s lack of roamer population fixed and they can duel each other till the cows come home. Win-win. Any stories of subsequent love-making to be kept in PMs.

Yaksbend Alliance plays as a team, thank you, but we do not need or want them. We have 7, 5 man strike teams, that is plenty. They do what we need them to do and do it well. People that do not play as a team we do not need.

Id love to know where those 5 mans are. My experience with yaks is if you see 1 you see 17 more. Thankfully thats about how many it takes to put up a decent fight.

Those 5 mans are build specifically to take targets in hostile areas. They are build for stealth and WvW effectiveness – NOT 5 v 5 (if ur looking for spvp you clicked the wrong button) Also – if you see one, then 17 more then that means as a commander, i am doing my job – because my group is moving in one direction towards a goal I set. This game is not DAOC, WvW is NOT 5v5. Maybe you guys should take your 6 or 7 groups of 5 and take some objectives – until then, you are ignored.

Anyone else get a bunch of infractions from this thread? How many are you allowed to have? lol – Anyways – Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy new year – This match up is going to persist for quite some time So i will see you all in January.

Persistent when it come to trebbing stuff, they get very very focused when defending – so much so – they will defend a tower and lose everything else on a map. Predictable when on offence but throws serious numbers when they do. Individually – decent pvpers – maybe a few too many glasscannons.

You should have went to FA – to fight VS CDs night crew who is pretty strong. Should be fun taking karma training NA TZ taking back all our stuff vs your ‘individualist’ elite 5man pvpers with our zerg.

So – which ever team is metagaming and buying crap stuff to waste supplies in YAK’s SM – Just stop – Its lame and beneath you.
