World completion did not occur for me even if I took my last POI (Underworld Borderlands, Cliffside Tower). Nothing happened…. not that I was expecting fireworks but according to wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Map_completion I should at least have gotten a chest of goodies.
Anyway, opened my candy chest at home instead and provided goodies and a beer for myself to celebrate.
Did not know they rotated, if they rotate it’s fine… I can wait…. how often do they rotate?
Regarding karma it’s sick…. been playing WvW for 3 days now and gathered approximately 18.000 karma points without even trying to participate if I don’t stumble on something…. 20.000 karma points takes me 2 weeks in PvE.
This is probably just me but I get extremely irritated about that WvW is part of map completion. I have no interest in playing WvW but still have to participate in this “for a lack of better word” boring way of play if I want map completion.
I would like it to at lest be possible to explore the WvW maps out of contest so that one can get it over and done with and get back to things about the game I enjoy.
The only reason to play WvW is if you want to get quick and easy karma points and cash.
WvW is in my view useless 23 out of 24 hours…. the only time it get’s slightly kitten ring is when two equally matched forces clash but that happens to seldom for it to influence my view of WvW. From being forced to play WvW for the last couple of days I don’t seem to be alone about this view regarding WvW…. seen a lot of “enemies” also back away from me even if I run around alone most of the time, they just as me are only interested in the vista or point of interest etc. and don’t want any part of the “battles” if you can call it that, most of the time it’s +10 guys attacking one single player.
To conclude a rather bad and irritated post that I will probably regret posting… I would have appreciated it if there was a way to just finish of the WvW maps for map completion without having to participate in the rest of what WvW stands for…. of course without the ability to gain karma etc. from the maps… thank you.
