I love this game because of its PvP system. Well, that’s the PAST now, we would definitely love to see a change in PvP like rebalancing? team of 4 PvP? Or maybe something that can get the thrill back to PvP? Oh please Anet! Just answer us! Let us know what you are going to do next! Don’t fool us anymore! You have already killed WvW, don’t kill PvP too!
The title said it all! PvP is totally dead. How is it even possible for Anet to kill PvP after 1 season? Last season, it was a real PvP season and it is good to see people, a lot of people in PvP. Now this season, same faces all the time, I really can tell all of their names and ID with 4 digit number. Because there’s no one left in PvP! How is that even possible for this season that only has 1 legendary on leaderboard? This is ridiculous! At first, I thought there will be some good change in this season but nope, Anet made it worse. Worst season ever.
If you lose a match, you lose a division ONLY when your skill rating is near your division threshhold. In your case, for example, since you’re in Gold—you will lose your division if your skill rating falls below 1350.
Now, let’s say you get to platinum. Platinum is for people who have 1650 – 1949 skill rating. If you get 1640 and you lose a match, you do NOT lose everything. Your rating just goes down a bit.
As far as decay, yes you will lose skill rating bit by bit after 3 days. It’s important to have, though. This is so players are incentivized to keep playing and maintain their rating and rank so they don’t stay permanently at the top. The decay gives others a chance to catch up to them.
So my skill is at 1352, if I lose a match I will lose my division?

Just play one game every two days and you won’t have to worry about decay
But I just got to the division that I wanted to reach. I heard that if I lose a match, I will lose my division as well, I pretty much dont have a choice?
Im just a casual player and I do PvP just for my achievements and the ascended shards. I really enjoy the new change about pips and the new reward system. I just got to gold( huge effort from me since I am not good with PvPing) and now I want to come back to PvE to enjoy the game but then I realized that if I dont do ranked matches, after 3 days my score will get decayed and which means I will lose my gold division. I also heard if I lose a match, I will lose my division as well. Is that true??? If so then all of my efforts will vaporize? Im actually pretty confused with the new system, I cant keep my division neither not playing ranked PvP. I want to enjoy the game itself too! I dont want to be stuck in PvP forever.
