I am ok with them add a join group button, but not ok if we cannot refuse it and leave the map. How about allowing us to leave after we click no.

Agree with this. The greyed out ‘no’ button – is this a bug?

I tried this a few times and as someone else said – it has not worked for me. Even if it did, this seems like a strange UX design. Click ‘yes’, then ‘no’, then ‘exit’? Why is this?

Your people told new players to buy it on sale for $10 just a while ago on the HoT FAQ. Now you’re milking them some more? You said the base game would be required to play the expansion. What type of trickery is this?

^ This, I think, is the worst part of it – recent purchasers who may have spent US$10, $20, maybe even $40 because they read the FAQ that says the core game is required to play the expansion. Then the pre-purchase “deals” come out and say the core game is included.

Problem: In PvP panel, clicking “Leave Queue” doesn’t actually remove you from the Ranked Queue. Eventually, I hear the horn sound effect indicating a match has been found and a pop-up asking me to accept entering a match or cancel, even though all other indicators (message at top of UI, PvP panel) indicate I was not supposedly in a queue any longer. This is problematic since (I think I read this in one of the blog posts), clicking on the “Cancel” button in that pop-up can lead to dishonorable stacks (even if it doesn’t actually lead to dishonor, I should be removed from queue so that the system no longer considers me for part of a match, potentially taking up other players’ time).

How it seems to be happening: I’m in Heart of the Mists, I click on “Ranked Queue” to queue up as solo (not in a party). I click on “Leave Queue”. Main screen UI and PvP panel both indicate I’m not in a queue. About a minute or two later, pop-up appears indicating a match has been found (this is the pop-up with 10 tick boxes and the “Accept” and “Cancel” buttons). This seems to happen mainly when I click “Leave Queue” and then log out and back in as another character, but not sure. This happened once when I was on my mesmer or warrior and probably 2 or 3 times on my necromancer.

What should be happening: Clicking on “Leave Queue” should remove me from the PvP queue and the current consideration for any matches.

I updated Avast.

Started the reinstall from gw2setup.exe and saved it to my desktop

Canceled the download – copied the gw2.exe from the new folder on my desktop and put it in the original gw2 folder and launched it.

It reset my in-game settings (volume, windowed mode, etc.) But I am at the char screen now.

@Soul Evil: Did you have to whitelist GW2 to get it work again when you did this?

Check the Quarantine (Virus Chest) – you may be able to restore it from there (in Avast, go to Scan > Scan for viruses > Quarantine (Virus Chest)). The Quarantine (Virus Chest) is a link in lower right of the ‘Scan for viruses’ screen. Right-click and restore. Whitelist GW2 (in Avast, go to Settings > General > scroll down to Exclusions > add your GW2 install directory).

Note that adding GW2 to the whitelist is not without its risks…

The alpha siege golem blueprints are for WvW. The one you have is an older version since they are no longer account-bound. I think you can still use them – but since you’re asking, it sounds like you don’t WvW anyway. If that’s the case, then might as well destroy it to free up some inventory space.
