The Guild Basics
This is a guild currently in re-development on RoS looking for both casual and professional gamers to join. We’re looking for loyal members who would like to see the guild develop and have the opportunity to say:- ‘Yes i’m in that guild, we’re one of the best on the server and i’m consistently enjoying myself no matter what we do’.
That is the most important thing to me, people enjoying themselves whilst leveling, PvP / WvW, PvE and generally chatting to one another. If you’re always in a moody state, then i’m afraid this isn’t the guild for you. We don’t want mood-killers. Be yourself, and stay happy. That’s the way i see it.
On a side note, we will ONLY be keeping 100 players (excluding alts) within the guild. I’m not one to have zillions of people in a guild that will in time, forget about the rules and themselves forgotten by the guild leader. I want each member to feel equal to the next, and be respected the same way. Give a little, and i’ll hand back a lot.
Trust, loyalty and honor, i can ask no more from anyone.
What we do
We specialize primarily in PVP / WvW, and dabble in pve when needed. We do understand the importance of PVE, and will contribute as much as possible if needed. However, should a situation arise that requires an immediate response in WvW, you will need to wait until that is resolved. We will also help ANY member with any issues they have, be it leveling, be it crafting or be it stomped on by another faction. Call upon us, we’ll come running, and dealing the final blow. We must stress however, that at certain times within the week, during PVP scheduled events and PVE scheduled events, the amount of help will be limited.
WvW (World versus World)
WvW Events are run on a daily basis for around 1 – 2 hours. You are not forced to do that many hours, but a little WvW a day can’t hurt. Over time in WvW, you will gain more knowledge into the timing of your skills. Better timing, better damage and evasive actions. This in turn will contribute when you are leveling in PVE.
In WvW we will be focusing closely on maintaining dominance on the battlefield, as well as collaborating with other guilds to over-run key areas on the map. Alone on the battlefield, you may get hurt. With a group, you may get hurt. With Mini, you won’t be touched, and if you are, they’ll run for the hills once they see the reinforcements. We’ll pillage everything we can, and make life hell for the opposing factions.
New players will be taught as much as possible on their first WvW day, shown how to capture mines, outposts, villages, towns, keeps and maybe even a fortress. They will be shown where the weaknesses are in each area, tactics to poke at the enemy, how to escape a enemy group, how to set up an ambush, and finally, how to besiege an enemy until they give up or until you take the area.
PvE (Player versus Environment
PvE is a core aspect to the game, always has been and always will be. From the word go, we will be willing to help people with any PvE aspects to the game, be it world events, a simple quest, or the final story quest.
PVE contributes a lot for your level, skills and generally as a player. You could become our key miner or crafter, enchanter, armoursmith or weaponsmith, PVE all contributes to this. If you explore the map, you will find resources, quests, mobs all aiding you in becoming a better player. I myself enjoy a good storyline and exploration, but was born a PvP player.
PVE Events will also run on a daily basis, but this will be throughout the day, non stop. Players are encouraged to play in the PVE environment until they are level 30 and then move to the PVP side and they’ll have got a good jist of their character by then. PvP will them maximize that skill. PVE events will primarily be held in-guild, but if some players are not available for whatever reason, only then will we source out outer-guild players.
Regardless, you’ll be carried if needs be through the levels until you are 80. Fear not, you’re not alone. You’re one of us, and hopefully, you’ll enjoy it.
SPVP (Structured Player versus Player)
SPvp is great to play, and in time you will come to love it, maybe even more than WvW. Spvp has some key notes before entering a battle, such as setting up your gear, to suit your needs. Will you be a tank? A glass cannon dps? Or will you go for a balance of both?
I’d like to try and stress that quitting in Spvp is seen as worrying in my eyes. It’s not affecting your gold, you’re learning how to play a specific class better, and in time, if you master Spvp, then you will master you’re class in WvW, PvE, almost anything. You shouldn’t just quit on your first or second death, and give up on it all at once. It’s hard at first, but that’s what we’re here for. To help you. Practice makes perfect, and you will end up learning more about your class, it’s strengths and weaknesses.
You have to be willing to play at 150% regardless of if you keep dying and move forward, as a famous soul said ’ It’s not about how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you can GET hit and keep moving forward. ’
If you have tried out Spvp before, and do not prefer playing it, it’s no big deal. However, i’d just like to have 1 or 2 games to try and change your mind, after that, i do not mind the outcome.
What we aspire to do within the guild
Help everyone and anyone that joins the guild in any way possible.
Bring RoS back up the ranks in WvW so that we are respected once again, not laughed at.
Keep the atmosphere happy at all times.
Get everyone in the guild to 80 on as many characters as possible with the choice of their gear, ascended or exotic….. maybe even legendary.
Claim as many points in WvW and get our flags on towers / keeps.
Become the best we possibly can, and make our voice heard!
The rules
Be loyal. This means no multiple memberships to guilds unless stated otherwise. I don’t hold a grudge against any other guilds, but ask yourself, if you’re happy with us, why are you with someone else? Similar to a marriage.
Be honest. If something is affecting your gameplay, in the guild, tell me. It’s confidential and i’ll deal with it personally, away from guild chat.
Be yourself. No one has a right to tell you otherwise. If they do, let me know and i’ll deal with it my own way.
Be happy. One happy / upbeat person can change everyone’s mood for the better.
Do not abuse other players. Racism will not be tolerated in any way, it WILL result in a instant kick from the guild and report.
Do not attempt to bully anyone within the guild, in any shape, way or form. You’ll be removed and reported.
Do not embarrass the guild, an example of this is typing:- ‘My guild is 10x better than yours’. We may be, we may not be, but no one has a right to slander.
Trust is a fragile thing, once your in the guild, i will trust you completely and i expect you to do the same. Break it, and you’re out. I’ll expose you to the whole of Cryodiil for what you may have done, and thus, the word trustworthy will never spin around you. Simple. (example is a 2nd in command attempting to steal all gold from the guild vault).
If you require a high commodity from the Guild Bank, give a valid reason. Not ‘Oh i need it because i do’. That won’t suffice. Can i take your life because i want to?
Hand out Friendly advice within the guild. If you see someone struggling with their class, give them some tips. Bend over backwards for them.
Stay active. Inactive members without valid reasons will be removed after 7 days.
