Epic.
I do like that name. The surname seems just a tad generic, but I shouldn’t say anything, ‘cause I didn’t want a surname on my character. :P 9.99999/10 from me!
Folkvar (He would be a Norn guardian if I ever got the chance to switch him; the name literally means “guardian of the people”. I’ve been Folkvar for Norn-like races and Dwarves in games for as long as I can remember, and I usually play the tanky character.))
Havkaar (Norn Ranger. Not really sure where I was going with that name, but I liked how it sounded. :P)
I dunno why, I just tend to shy away from surnames. Probably because I like short and sweet names ingame, and then add them later for roleplay if I feel like it.
I like it, very “Norn-ish”.
And Nordic, too
Mine is… “Susan Stark”
Howdy, Mac Users community!
I have a late 2009 27", core 2 duo 3,06 GHz, 4gb ram, ati radeon 4850 512 mb, and it all worked fine until today (december 17), when i opened the game that i haven’t opened since two days ago (december 15), I immediatly realized something was wrong. The launcher remained without any text, just an empty progress bar and the autoplay checkbox for a few mins, without the usual download of a new launcher, and then started patching. When i launched the game the color profile (or the gamma, not sure) changed, and it opened a windowed version of it, but totally black, in which i couldn’t do anything. I had to close it, and i’m not able to play.
What could i do?
I think that it should be a solo instance.
Random loot is random.
Obvious answer is obvious (but hey, lol)
Minimum requirements? ROTFL. There's no such thing.

I had 18/20 fps in average.
Not a glorious Fps, but a decent one.
Of course, the graphic was all set on LOW (i haven’t even dreamed of setting higher than low lol), but hey, the game runs!
@Killimandros: May i help you?
I had to replace the thermal paste, before the notebook went in thermic protection after 10 minutes of game.
Tonight i had hours of dungeon, and not even a crash.
Actually, in GW2 is the CPU the bottleneck.
Not the GPU.

Seriously, guys.
I don’t know what ANet has done to this game, but i am capable of playing it on a Toshiba Tecra A7!
I mean, low end gpu, intel centrino…
Totally UNDER the minimun requirements.
Stills…
I can play.
Tonight i’ve played Crucible of Eternity, i’ve even tried some PvP, and it all went ok.
Of course fps were low, but i played.
Mega WIN for Anet.
ANet couldn’t predict the market, i think.
It’s understandable.
