Recruiting non-gw2 players.

Since the base game is F2P, and there has been a history of illegitimate keys sold online, a referral program exposes the system to a lot of potential abuse for questionable return on investment. When you consider Xpacs upgrades are put on discount very frequently, all it would matter is referring them to base game (which has zero barrier to play), and them deciding if they want to upgrade their account or not.

Ah I understand :o Thanks for your reply!

AFAIK I never heard of that (sorry if I’m wrong).
With the current amount of GW2 good player population, I think it’s non-likely to see they bring this kind of invitation-refer-friend-to-get-reward method anytime soon (since this method is often used by a game that are losing its player population or a new game that are in need of many player)

And, have a nice day too

Thanks!!

Hello!

Today a friend of mine told that they have interest in playing GW2 and asked if there is a recruitment thing for the person who invites them into the game.
(So the person who invites gets a little something extra)

I remember such a thing from a long time ago (about 4 years ago?) but I don’t know if that is still a thing now.

Thanks in advance!

Have a nice day!

Same here, I select Caverns all the time, but it keeps resetting to Hoelbrak. And I just don’t think that music suits the Gilded Hollow :P

(Spoiler) Treahearns Story

I know there is a lot of Trahearne hate out there, but In memory of his heroic deeds and ultimate sacrafice, I want to take a moment to remember our great sylvari for what he was; a hero, a leader, mentor, comrade, and friend.

  • was there for us from the moment our mentors died, helping us get back on our feet and pick up the pieces.
  • showed us a broader world as we became more than just order members, but leaders of an organization bigger than any one nation or order alone, unifying the world against the dragons.
  • co-founder and primary leader of the pact
  • strategically led the battle of claw island from his vantage point over the gate.
  • consulted in our advice, as to which of his strategies would best help lay Zhaitain low
  • trusted in our combat and leadership abilities to lead the pact deeper into orr.
  • complemented, thanked, and rewarded us for our efforts and achievements, always letting us know how much he appreciated our friendship and battle prowless.
  • in the background of personal story (off-stage if you will) he was responsible for the strategic and tactal advancement of the pact, doing all the planning and nogotiating while leaving the task to pull off his plans up to us.
  • cleansed orr
  • believed in us without hesitation or second thought, when we revealed the dangers of mordremoth, and immediately gave our campaign into the maguuma jungle full support.
  • until the very end, even as lesser sylvari faltered, even as his body was merged with the elder dragon mordremoth itself, kept fighting for us and the pact.
  • gave his life to end mordremoth.

Thank you for your wonderful list, Trahearne has been and always will be one of my favourite NPCs.
I asbolutely admired his knowledge as a scholar. As we all have been new to the game, he had a lot of knowledge about Orr, the dragonminions and its sources, but also had ties with the orders and other (lesser known) races like the Largos.
So I enjoyed learning more about the world of Tyria through him. He always gave us the information but left the choice with us, as a true team. The Tactician and the Strategist, as you will

Tybalt mini, but no Seiran or Forgal?

Glad to see your opinions!
(Hehe yes Captain Weyandt is cool, too)

I hope Anet sees this and does something with it :P

I thought a little bit more about it, and it would be extra cool if they would have minis from the Ghosts of Ascalon Book, but I understand that that would be a stretch.
Though I guess it would invite people to read the book. (It’s a cool story! And some of the characters are actually in the game.)

Hopefully I’m not the only one, but I find it weird that there is a Tybalt mini, but not a Seiran nor a Forgal mini.
I understand that Tybalt is the favourite of many, but I kind of find it unfair.

I hope to see these minis in the future
(Also I hope for a Trahearne mini!)

Are there other characters/npcs that deserve a mini that I am forgetting about?

Are there titles to earn during Halloween?

Oh really! I didn’t know.
A shame though, I always look with envy at people with the “emissary of the mad king” title. Back then I just purchased GW2 and was level 5 when it stopped.

So, I pretty much agree with you. It looked so magical last year so I was pumped for the event.

I know I’m a slowpoke but: are there titles to earn?

Because I see a lot of people running around with the title of last year.

So after running around trying to fill the map, I saw blue flames coming from my skills/attacks. I recognize them as the blue flames that Guardians have, but at that moment I was using my Necromancer.

Anyone know what it meant?

Thanks in advance

Just to be on the safe side I think I’ll refrain from playing for these months because I’m not sure how to deal with the internet company here.

Hello!

I’m not sure if this has been asked before or not, in my brief search I did not find anything useful but,

I come from Europe and due to an Exchange Course from my school I am now in Japan for some months. I heard some stories about downloading and such being illegal here, and since Guild Wars 2 sometimes needs to download new content, I wonder if I can still play GW2 here.

Many thanks!
