Also posting on behalf of Level3 issue, traceroutes don’t show anything bad(except traffic routed through Level3), latency measured with ping is fine.

When traffic is low (lonely wvw area for example) the game runs fine, can cast spells as normally.

Getting close to a zerg the game starts lagging badly, to the point where I hear people on TeamSpeak saying the keep has been captured while I still see rams deployed on gates(~3-5 MINUTES of latency).

PS. My issue also appeared to happen about 2 days ago

It also knocks away everyone in a large area.

I’ve been both lucky enough to get a levelup when downed and almost stomped – raised me to full hp instantly(though it may have been rally, but rally usually leaves you at 30-50% hp) and knocked away and down the opponents trying to down me, and unlucky enough to have this happen to an enemy that was downed.

It’s different but not that much better, first of all most friendlies aren’t rendered at all – standing inside our keep with just us nearby I was able to see ~15 people at a time and most folks were popping in and out randomly, the fun part was the golems appearing and disappearing so it was problematic to even put up a portal properly because you can’t see them all at the same time.

IMO rolling back this change and working on a real solution would be much more beneficial than choosing whether you see your friends or enemies.

Even fighting nametags and hp bars would do, or the stickfigure solution, or just 1 single model – who cares about the enemy’s race, gender, face, size or armor? Most people I know of just look at the buff bar and the abilities someone uses to figure out which class it is.

Also .. the commanders & squad leaders usually brainstorm thrue TS/Ventrilo/Mummble – communication software – which allows easier handling of troops & alters the set of rules around giving orders.

Chat is only useful to give directions to people who aren’t in voice comms so they have a clue on what’s going on.

Commanders communicate to their guilds with voice comms, and so their guild doesn’t even need the commander icon in the first place – they know what to do.

Snowflakes shader badly hurting FPS

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

Having sub par graphics card (ATI 4800 1GB VRAM) I (and a few guildies) experience a very sharp fps drop when weather in WvW kicks in, to the point of halving fps while I’m just standing idle in a non-sieged castle while the enemy holds weather.

Granted the video card isn’t adequate for sieges (even though it performs fine outside of clusterkittens). I think the shader can be optimized better as similar and more sophisticated weather effects hardly affect FPS in other games.

Perhaps I’m wrong or this is a minority issue, I’m putting this in here just in case it’ll get noticed by someone who can take a peek what can be done about it.

HTH.
