Hello! Warriors of pvp, I would LOVE to know what you guys are running and how well it had treated you.
I’m on mobile, so I will edit with gw2skill link later, but I can give you basic run down…
Essentially, I’ve been running zerker armour, marauder amulet, rifle(intelligence, force) & X/shield. (X, paralyze/energy), and a mix of runes. I’ve used strength, hoelbrak, pack, durability, and leadership. I usually run hoelbrak. I use def-discipline-berserk traits. Heal sig, sig of might, balanced stance/outrage, zerk stance, headbutt
Main goal is survivability and control. I LOVE my gs, but I can’t give up range of rifle or shield. The reflect projectiles in shield mastery is beautiful. Plus, rifle has great burst too.
Between Amber and halfway through emerald, I ran, literally, anything: s/s & gs, gs & rifle, s/t & lb, gs & hammer…. it’s all a grind. From mid-emerald to my current place in mid-sapphire, I’ve been using my above build.
I only get to play 10 hours a week, so I haven’t gotten to play as much as I’d like, but I’m at a pretty comfortable 60% w/l ratio. I only solo queue, so that probably had something to do with it, but that’ll stop even I get to ruby.
Could I make it to diamond or legendary? Probably not, but it’s so sporadic. I was stuck in emerald for a week, then jumped from mid emerald to mid sapphire in one day.
I only play warrior, so I consider myself an expert at the class and mechanics. I love them so much! That said, the warrior path is not for the feint of heart(or those looking for easy wins), but man is it rewarding. It’s the little things that count, like unlockable arc dividers or flame bursts…mmm.
Hey, the way I see it? When January nerf hammer comes, I’ll be ready to roll the competition
