Hybrid here, sorta.
Knight armor with hoelbrak runes
Zerker trinkets
Rampager swords with rage/strength sigils.
I’ve picked up Berserker’s fury, blademaster and furious in arms, coupled with heightened focus in discipline.
Skipped the signets because a 50ish% base crit with blademaster and signet of rage gives me enough and i like how fast adrenaline builds. After a flurry i get another full bar way before the CD is over.
Starts a bit slow, but as soon as i get some might and furious surge stacks bleeds become painful. Better against groups i think, were cleave crits on multiple enemies and speed up the process.
I should try with rampagers at some point, looks fun.
I’ve been a fan of dual swords as well (came into GW2 as an ex fury warrior, so is not new).
With the new traits system i’m having tons of fun with them, without even investing in condi gear.
I’m running a knight/zerker set as i’m not a hardcore player and prefer a defense buffer to play stress free, anyway i see bleeds doing more damage now than before the patch on a dedicated rampager armor. Takes a bit to start, but once gets going all the arms traits sinergize into a bleed machine.
That said, i have a pair of axes as well, because they are just as fun. If you don’t care about meta/hardcore play, just get a versatile armor and collect weapons.
At least is what i’ve did, and keeps the class fresh
Hello, i’ve been playing on and off since launch, but mostly on my own, and farming+alting+random world boss only gets me so far.
So about time to try and find a home i guess.
What i’m looking for? Nothing special, i have basically zero experience in anything organized but i want to do it all. PvE, WvW, roleplaying (i do have experience there). PvP scares me a little, i’ve always been pretty bad at it, but i’m willing to give it a spin if happens.
I’m not hardcore though, serious when doing things, i play to win so to speak, but i’m not willing to keep minmaxing, i don’t care about speed clears or world records. I’m in for the fun.
I’d prefer if the guild is not too large or complete, it’s better to contribute to the growth than finding everything already done, but doesn’t really matter much.
I like the game, i like the world, so i’d be always more than willing to just go around exploring with others or generally lend a hand where needed or wanted, and as a little bit of an altaholic i have a pair of characters to level still.
That’s pretty much it, i’m a relaxed player that just wants to see the whole game, not just what i’ve experienced so far, and if i make friends while doing it, even better.
Dual sword is fun, running it lately and is prety satisfying (i play only PvE though, so might be different).
My build is quite a bit different, i trait 0/25/15/30/0, with knight armor and rampager weapons and trinkets. Comes off quite balanced, good defense and offense, shouts to bring some utility to groups, a decent amount of vitality to not just fold after two hits, and with fury i can get around 90% crit.
One thing to keep in mind if you ask me is to always take deep cuts in the arms tree, 50% longer duration on bleeds means a lot when they start stacking.
I’m running a 0/20/20/30/0 build as some others, i like the flexibility.
The only mainstay trait is embrace the pain to charge adrenaline faster, the rest moves around when i feel like changing weapons.
I like to have the chance to swap to dual swords, maces, sword and shield, hammer, bow, banners, warhorn, shouts and whatnot on a whim.
Armor is full knight with soldiers runes, and i plan to make different jewelry sets to support the weapons i choose. Jack of all trades master of none if you will, but since i like the playstyle of most weapons i feel like is the best choice for me
AWESOME thread, really. 7 pages of fantastic warriors.
Here’s mine, at least until i get that kitten T3 armor i’ve wanted since day 1
Bursts in PvE are really good imho, i use them all the time.
Not playing GS or adrenaline reliant traits, but understand where the objection comes from. Passive damage increases are neat, but i like to place fields with the bow, or bleed things to death with my sword.
I agree with Blurps that the way it works is really balanced, you can trait to stock adrenaline, or to build as fast as possible, up to the playstyle
