Dear Devs, this is a desparate plea from a player who spends equal time in PvE and PvP.
Please make it so that, when i enter the Heart of the Mists, the game remembers what weapons my profession last used! Whenever I enter on an elementalist, carrying Staff from Dry Top, half the time I forget to equip my pvp weapons before I que up – because the rest of my build is remembered!
For the love of the Six, give us a pvp weapon unlock system or something, but incorporate this relatively minor QoL change.
Jon: What [EG] Ethereal Guardians noticed at Teq was that quickness stacked up to 2 minutes. Quickness, combined with strong vulnerability, compounded all the other effects playing into why everything seems broken.
Small graphical change for someone at ANET to file away.
1. The yellowish signet color for SIgnet of Courage is different than the yellow shade of previous guardian signets (signet of wrath, etc).
2. The shade of yellow on Signet of Courage actually looks better afaic.
3. Please change the old signets to use the yellow shade on the new signet, or if you must, change the color of signet of courage to match.
Are there any plans to introduce Captain’s / Forsaken / Apostate / Giver’s stat combos as ascended weapons or armor? Unlike sinister or nomad’s, which were created for specific zones, these are useful stat combos which have already been implemented into the game – so where are their ascended parts?
This is a simple quality-of-life suggestion that addresses two areas of concern.
Problem: Players have long complained about not being able to easily see what story dungeons a particular character has completed.
Solution: Add a new tab to the Story Journal, similar to Personal Story of Living Story Season 2, which shows small blurbs about each story dungeon if the character has completed them.
Resource intensivity: minimal – this could be done as an afternoon project for a developer – it uses systems already in the game to provide a QoL change.

I understand that, but how many story steps would be really necessary? For necromancer, it could be as simple as:
-Unlock open world dialogue with trahearne, gives mission in Story Journal
-Activate mission in story journal – “go kill Grenth Statue in Verdant Brink”
-go to the statue, complete brief combat instance*
-Return to trahearne, more open world dialogue, Reaper unlocked
Even that would be better than the morning-coffee situation.

Long-time player of Guild Wars 1 and 2 posting for perhaps the first time here.
There is some truly great stuff happening for the game as mentioned in Anatoli Ingram’s Hidden Arcana article today – particularly the idea of Revenants conversing with their legends, and so on. With all the wonderful immersive elements coming in Heart of Thorns, the following missed opportunity sticks out even more sharply:
“There’s no profession-specific story content planned for the expansion, but a brand-new revenant starting on their journey will not have had to visit the Mists or undergo any more of an advanced process to access revenant powers than they would for the other core professions… "
Now, there’s already an article wondering how on earth Anet is going to fit new Revenants into the world of Tyria, and I’m reasonably confident someone will come up with a response to that part of the question. (Please. Dear gods please.)
But, no new profession-specific story at all? Who cares that this hasn’t happened before; Heart of Thorns with the introduction of Elite Specializations is a perfect opportunity. Are you telling me that, rather than studying with Trahearne or Marjory, my necromancer is going to wake up on, say, September 30th, grab a few hero points or something, sit down with a mug of coffee and “discover” the Reaper? Are you telling me that my mesmer, reading his morning newspaper, is going to read a nice article about the mysteries of space-time and suddenly harness chronomancy on a whim? Or maybe my guardian, lacking a mentor in Tyria, will do some research on dark souls’ Dragonslayer Ornstein and, now having a role model, lumber off to fight Mordremoth?
Does anyone else see a major lore problem and lost opportunity here?
“This last update, has made it much harder for my guild to coordinate events together. We end up on different maps from each other and have to reform parties several times to get into maps for guild missions or pve events we run. Work needs to be done on selecting a map for guild priority.”
There is a lot of good behind the megaserver system, especially getting people together on unplayed maps. It’s a great system. But it must be adjusted so that it does not kill this game’s large guilds.
