bump for guildie who has same problem. 100% but didn’t get gift, title, or the star.
Upscaled characters can’t deal damage close to a 80 in exotics. I’ve been leveling my thief in WvW and my damage is pitiful. I keep my gear updated, buying rares off the TP and even with upscaling I can’t kill anyone. My heartseeker as a lvl 57 crits for 1100.

Is phase 2 bugged? I mean the red circles hitting you when they shouldn’t. It’s not the “ultimate” aoe thing either. I try to constantly keep moving during the fight and noticed many times that even though I’m outside of the circle I still get hit by it. I’m watching the boss and he isn’t shooting his aoe thing, so it’s not that. My whole party complained about it although I’m not sure everyone was aware of the “ultimate”. I was paying close attention and could not wrap my head around why I was getting “lag hits” from these kitten circles. My latency wasn’t an issue either.
+healing being “useless” is a pro for the shout build. Banner regen is nice but the real drawback is that other classes can provide regen as well. So why double up on regen when you can provide instant heals with shouts.
Cool video. It shows 4 of the 5 members geared in CoF gear. It only proves my point that people in full yellow(rares) can’t beat the dungeon the intended way. Which is dumb considering the dungeon should be tuned for that gear level. Not for people already in exotics.
If you want to go tanky, go Guardian. I tried sword/shield and was shamed when I partied with a Mace/shield Guardian. He did everything effortlessly compared to me.
Warriors should be played for dps. Never go full tanky or support. Feel free to deviate and break the mold(GS is overrated), but remember that the warrior class is a strong dps class and should not stray from it.
I cannot believe how many people ITT don’t know what dps is. Seriously? DPS = damage per second. I’ve done quick tests myself and switched from GS to axe/mace because I found the HB “burst” to be an illusion. The huge # at the end is a great kitten stroke but the mobility and CC I get from axe/mace(shield for bosses) far out weighs GS. Also the dps I get from axe appears to be higher than GS. But extensive testing would be nice.
You can’t clear the mobs unless the party is geared with exotics. I’ve tried the clear strat with people in yellows and you just don’t have enough damage to clear them without eventually getting overwhelmed. I guess only teams geared in exotics can escape the mandatory death repairs of magg.
