I play a thief mainly because I dislike the zerg style of play. I am not trolling or dissing, its just how I feel. Anyway, with a thief I dont have to worry so much about dying and having to run all the way back to where I was. I mainly scout, kill the mules, take the little check point areas, stuff like that.

I do join in if there is a lot of activity going on – server contribution and all that.

A thief is fun to have in a zerg sometimes – its extremley entertaining to book it after the one thats limping away from all the AOE, end him, then get back to the saftey of your group. Just don’t jump in the middle of a huge group and expect to survive unless you are dagger storming.

Of course ele and rangers are the ones that get the most kills, at least thats what it looks like.
Thieves also make good “savers” that is, they can use headshot or pistol whip to stop an enemy from stomping you, then use stealth to hide you while you heal up.

They are not centered around one ability, havent you seen all the post’s complaining about heart seeker? Or c&d? Or cluster bomb? Long story short, if you can survive the spike, you have it in the bag. ALWAYS expect a big spike, then they have to run away while there init recharges

If your any good at programming, take a look over some combat log parsers for other games and write one, its pretty simple. I wrote one for champions a long time ago, but be aware, you will only use it a couple times before you get bored with it.

If you do write one you should pm me, I would love to try it out.

Tournaments, paid or free, were not intended to be as casual as the hot joins, otherwise I’d like to think they just wouldn’t bother implementing Hotjoins at all.

also, I have a hard time believing anyone who starts a statement with “this is dumb” would ever get an important page (do they even make pagers anymore?)

Actually thats just what I said when I got hired “Whats a pager” (obviously joking) But no its actually just an email that gets sent as a text to my phone.

That would be a dumb thing to lie about, if I wanted to be cool why wouldn’t I say something more impressive? (Getting an urgent page isn’t cool anyway, it just means some nurse turned off her computer and she thinks its broken so she insists on bugging me)

Anyway, I must have misread this post – I havent done tourny’s yet, I just use the spvp game browser and find a match. But as for any game, I am always in favor of having a 10 ~ 15 second intermission between matches to give people a chance to leave/join, then they are locked until the next intermission

EDIT: I take that back, he says “even if its just a common match” Which I think is being a little picky ^^

Anet stated that warriors are what all the other classes will be balanced around, and that they are very happy with them.

Wouldnt know anyway, I play a thief and they seem fine to me, reaction to them on the forums seems ok. Just going by what I have noticed.

Actually MMO designers make the mistake of busting there kitten to make it balanced around 1v1, which is what ruins them. Pve is no fun if the classes are balanced around 1v1. Besides, if they do introduce 1v1 dueling, there will be tons of screaming babies on the forums crying nerf

This is dumb lol if I want to leave the game and go eat dinner, or leave the match because I dont want to be yelled at for just standing there doing nothing. What if I get an urgent page and have to leave? What if someone knocks on the door?

You whiners have two options: let me leave when I want, or deal with me going afk and taking up a spot in your “team”

lol @ this thread, its a joke. You don’t brag about moving to a lower tier server, you just do it. The fact that your here asking for help – and yes that IS what you are doing – just shows how little faith you have in your ability. All I can say is thank god you didn’t choose my server.

Yea, the other day I took on one that looked a lower level, but its so OP that as soon as I engaged, I was laying facedown at its feet
