Oh boy there’s me and my problem with fixed numbers again.
Decrease “influence gain by action” the more people there are in the guild you are currently representing.
This would balance out small guilds with very active players against large guilds with many rather casual players.
I don’t get the need for a fixed number in any trait, since they should get better with you leveling up, not worse. Also they should reward you for building your character to support them.
So take the 90 toughness in the shield trait and make it grant a toughness increase based on a percentage of your total toughness. Of course the percentage has to be calculated and the lowest/highest theoretical benefit taken into account to keep it in line.
That way it would benefit you more the tankier your playstyle is in general.
I agree with you about Renewed Focus.
I find Virtues as our class mechanic underwhelming in general, as they are nothing more than slightly beefed up Signets that happen to affect allies.
Tomes are a lot better and i usually switch between Wrath and Courage as needed. Using them however comes down to use the 5 skill once and proceed to spam 1 until the duration is over. So yes I agree with 2-4 not really being worth it.
While only a small part of Guardians can use it, in PvP I really like the Human racial “Reaper of Grenth” skill. I get the attention of several melee enemies and line up my damage absorbing bubbles while I turn into an AoE damage ticking nightmare that everyone suddenly wants to get away from. Except they can only do it at a snails pace because they are chilled.
btw, the trait setup is for pvp. take the 90 toughness and replace with hammer trait.
Replace with what hammer trait? There is nothing in the Valor trait line that pertains to hammers.
I really like Altruistic Healing and it’s usefulness is immense, I just don’t know if it makes up for taking filler traits all the way there and losing out on genuinely useful stuff in other trait lines. The website has not updated it, but a patch last week gave a new ability which gives hammers a 50 percent chance on crit to chill a target for 4 seconds (45 sec cd)
Right I forgot about that.
In it’s current implementation, while it’s better than nothing, it’s still pretty much garbage. I hope that they change it into something more useful along the line.

I’m using a build similar to yours for leveling and I love it.
For the second weapon set I use a staff. Remember that it’s a 2-handed weapon too and therefore makes use of the reduced cooldown trait. Placing the swiftness field as an AOE every few seconds adds good damage to compliment the snail orbs.
I haven’t seen anyone mention it yet so I keep wondering if it’s just me, but my autoattack seems to turn itself off at random.
I can’t reliably reproduce it but it appears to have something to do with placing symbols.
Usually I use greatsword for general PvE and I jump at enemies using the 4 skill or Judge’s Intervention, then place Symbol of Wrath on their feet and when I don’t immediately follow up with the 3 skill (whirling), very often my autoattack is turned off.
I realize this is not gamebreaking but sometimes in the heat of battle I don’t realize it immediately and proceed to stand next to the mob like an idiot while not attacking at all.
