Tried logging in to find many error messages. I checked my email account to find i have received 2 separate emails, one in my JUNK file and one in the normal INBOX.

The following is the email from the normal inbox:

The second is the JUNK email, which seems more legit. Can someone please advise me on what is going on? I have never and will never try to sell my account, as i barely play it myself:

The past few logins, i have been asked to authorise my login, but i sign in from the same house and PC every single time. Now i am being accused of selling my accounts… I’ve been phished before on previous MMO’s and lost everything and i am not prepared to do anything until a mod can respond please!

I havent had any issues, you are aware that the human eye only registers up to about 25-30fps? Anything above looks exactly the same, 60 will be the same as 30 to us….

When you say its “unplayable” i cant believe you on that one :/ Its physically not possible.

Went back to RIFT and TERA. The amount of times i cancelled my skills by moving when they were casting is ridiculous. I love how on GW2 you can move around while casting…. TERA and RIFT have decent graphics, but thats it.

im running a pure shortbow build for single DPS then axe/warhorn as secondary for mobs… i rarely switch though, stay back with the shortbow, get some conditions mounted and let me ice drake do the rest..

hmm, i use red moa for fury, and fern hound for regen.

ive got ice drake/eagle at the moment, that buffed tail whip by the drake is too good not to have..

Been looking through the dungeon gear just to see what i want when i hit 80, pretty fixated on the Arah stuff but when i look through posts about gear, and through the screenshots of peoples characters, i RARELY see Arah gear.

I might be being naive here, but is this dungeon the most difficult to run, or is there better armour out there?

+1 to that, GW1 had them and they looked awesome. I always look to see if there are cloaks in every MMORPG i play.

im not getting into the wow vs GW debate, but 10 million people dont play WoW at the same time…

It just dominates on all scales of MMORPG’s at the moment… who needs this thing called WoW?

it doesnt matter which forum ive been on out of all these games, there is always criticism… You honestly think Anet can develop every single thing every player suggests? Fair enough some things are buggy…. The point i am making is that GW2 has combined all the great stuff from previous MMO’s and made it better…

Dont often post stuff like this but got a little bit of spare time after work so thought id put my input out there….

Im just praising this game and Arena Net on how well they have done.

Over the years ive played a few of the “better” MMO’s including:

Runescape (in the good old days when i was a teen)
Aion
RIFT (still play)
SWTOR
LOTRO
TERA Online

And a few other ones that have slipped my mind..

I also played all the GW1 games which were absolutely fantastic..

But, this game has opened up a new era for MMORPG’s in my opinion, everytime i log on, i know theres something waiting for me to do be a it a dynamic event, run a dungeon, go for gear, weapons, levelling accounts, messing around with builds etc…

ALL of the above games were your typical MMO’s with the “go and kill x” quests and therefore i never actually maxxed out any chars on them games. Of course they had their good points though…

The huge community of runescape back in 2006, The amazing graphics of RIFT and TERA combined with a MULTITUDE of professions, and the huge maps of Aion and the appeal it had…

But, i think Anet have achieved something great with this game, it gets slated for this, that and the other but if you look at it, it actually has everything the all the above games had… in one.

I have never tired of playing this game and i know with the constant updates (some good, some bad) that i wont stop either unlike with the other grindfests…

I could say much more but wanted to keep this brief as i need to grab a beer and chill out, but THANKYOU Anet for making my nights after work that little bit more enjoyable.

ive found also if you trait correctly for hammer, you can end fights very quickly. I switched from sword/shield + sword/torch to hammer only and i wont be turning back.

just gotta get used to swapping, im an old school mmo player like back in gw1 prophecies days etc where you have one weapon and you stick with that. I’ve always tried sticking with one wep set on all my classes tbh…..

Im gunna follow that first offensive build posted by Aven until i think i need to change..

as i mentioned i envision a guardian holding a sword and shield… i just wanted to try it out and safe to say i am liking it at the moment, ive heard that the scepter auto attack is very hit and missy as its slow and you have to aim it?

ill try out the first… i havent really levelled any chars very high and im not too sure about what knights gear is? is it all out offensive?

Aven, cheers mate, i still havent got around to playing it yet ill start it up tonight…. Anyone got a linked build they KNOW works, with where i should be putting my traits and what gear i should be using once i hit 80.

New to guardian, been trying out with the sword/torch, seem to be kittening up in most areas but looking for some sort of solid levelling build. Ive always had a vision of a guardian sporting a classic sword/shield combo and if anyone runs with this and would like to share some tips in regards to effectiveness and possibly post up a quick build, that would be great!

I partially agree with you here, but as stated above, no doubt they WILL be checking the forums… They dont have to respond to every single thread because as their job titles state they are “developers” – meaning they have much more important things to do like designing new aspects of the game, and they will also have their own projects within their teams to work on…

Compared to a lot of other MMO’s, these guys respond a lot! Just because RIFT’s developers post more often, doesnt mean Anet are slacking behind..

You have to put yourself in their shoes. They go to work everyday like me or you, go to the office, loads up their PC , checks all the work they have for the day. They will certainly not have a lot of time dedicated to debating with a lot of the loose end characters you get mumbling on on the forums!!

Just think back to GW1 where it could take months and months for a ticket to be responded too, i had to wait nearly half a year for an account recover, by that time i had lost interest.

yeah another small point, i know its my choice but ive spent a bit of my own money for these minis… Just would have thought they could be a bit more entertaining!

i dont necessarily focus on them, ive just noticed it now and then, id prefer to see them doing something. Interacting in the world like real “pets” do.

For example, they could have more static animations, they could fly/run off and interact in the world around you (i dont know how, but im sure Anet could think something up) …

I’ve been wondering, there is a nice extensive range of mini’s and i love having them run around with me, especially the imps…

But, one thing thats put me off them a bit is they dont “do” much. When in combat, they literally just stand/hover on the spot, while im in the action.

Im just putting it out there and thought that maybe something like this can be implemented into the game; some sort of action stance with the minis?

Id love to see them interact with the world more…

go straight for jewelcraft as stated above, im only tier 3, but its around 2gp. heres an excellent guide to get you started !

go straight for elementalist/mesmer for variety! thief is a spamabble class where you can hit 2 buttons and wipe out mobs in pve. and engineer is also quite sophisticated, just depends on what sort of playstyle/armour you like !

Im running a 6gb DDR3 , i3 quad core, but with a shocking integrated intel HD GPU. i run 20-25fps everywhere solid on medium-high graphics, just proves the game is more dependant on a good CPU rather than GPU, which is what i like as i cant play any other games tbh…

Im not new to GW2 but never got into crafting, really needing some levels at the mo to progress through hearts/story – im obviously the lowest level in all crafts, was firstly wondering whats the best to get up, and if there are specific ways to lower costs and level quickly?

I run at sort of medium graphics as my GPU isnt the best, but im getting a steady 18-25fps most of the time which is great…

But, in cut scenes (such as in personal story when 2 characters are speaking) the lag is horrendous! i must be running at 10 fps and then as soon as i go back to the game, back up to 20+.

Is this an issue with anyone else??

I would love to know if there are any fixes!!

Ive been swapping between classes for god knows how long now and checking out the forums for decent builds etc… Everytime i come across a topic though, its full of LVL 80’s discussing the math of it all and i get wound into this spiral of confusion!

Im looking to make an ele, i dont level too fast as im busy with work but when i get time i like to get stuck in.

I just want someone, preferably experienced, to post a good beginner, PVE levelling build including what wep to use, what traits to have and how exactly i kill mobs etc… (im aware its more complicated than GW1). Even a link to an external website would be good, just want to get this started tonight, (please dont go into too much math) !!

Hi, just thought id show you a pic i snapped of a few of us with the karka. Plenty more people behind the “camera” watching us, really brought our group together and made me very rich at level 15.
