Yeah, the anti-grind code is really limiting a lot of this game. Their economy already sucks and they are using this code liberally. They really gotta fix that, but anti-grinding isn’t the way to do it.

Always reward your players. Don’t punish them. There’s literally nothing good coming out of punishing your players.

Also wanting to point out the ridiculous amount of bugged (unobtainable) skill points that still have not been fixed. THOSE make world explore even more fun.

Yes. If I am going to level up an alt to 80, and even if I go out of my way to do completely different zones than I did on my main while levelling up… I’ll already have done them. A big part of an alt (not the biggest) is to experience different zones. With how it is, the only diff an alt makes is a different class.

100% exploration is essential when you want to level up?

What do you mean? I’m saying I only want to do the low-level zones once. It’s not fun doing it on my main for 100% completion, then when I make an alt, doing it right again.

So I’m working on World Completion, I’m at about 73% right now… (also, the WvWvW locations were ridiculous, especially the ones in enemy territory, and don’t get me started on the Eternal Battlegrounds)

But doing every heart and exploration in the game really makes levelling an alt that much more boring. You just repeat what you have done already on a different class.

Yeah, you would end up doing that anyway, but nowhere near as much.

My solution? Make it so when you level your alt in their respective race zones that it counts towards an account-wide World Explorer achievement. It’s not fun doing a newbie zone (or three) on my Guardian and then when I want to do something different, I end up doing the same thing I just did, just on a different class.
