I’ve been playing some games and I’ve noticed that my rank on the leaderboard goes up after I lose a game VS high ranked players (45-50+). Does anyone know why this happens? If the other team is lower ranked, my rating tends to drop for obvious reasons. I’m just not sure why it’s even going up VS highly ranked players. Shouldn’t it stay the same, or go down a few ranks?

So I’m new to gw2.
I’ve been messing around with the different classes, and so far I’ve liked Mesmer, guardian, warrior, necromancer and elementalist. … But the problem is I really suck Mesmer/Necromancer/Elementalist, as I button-smash in pvp / die 24/7 in pve…
From all the other MMOs I’ve played, I’ve always been a Mage so I tried aiming at those 3 classes & I really want to play one of them but I’m just so horrible… (I’m not exactly sure how to word this so please bear with me lol) I guess what I’m trying to say is how do I pick a class if I suck really bad at it?! (warrior and guardian are easy for me but I’d really like to play a Mage-like class) …Sorry if I didn’t explain well enough idk how ._. Also I’d like to know which class YOU prefer running with in a dungeon. Thank you
