Hmmm I didn’t think this was a bug. Doesn’t the #5 ability allow you to return to human form anyways?
That being said, I completed all of Wayfarer’s as a leopard (minus the Jotun trading mission) and all of Caledon Forest as a Fern hound
It made it fun and exciting to complete the areas even though it was my 5-6th time.

Nihilus stop pulling Robert’s leg and tell him what caused this bug to happen xD
I think this topic requires some defining. There’s a difference in running and dungeon and the ever so popular “speed run”. If you look on gw2lfg.com and see someone saying “GLF1M CoF p1-3 Already in dungeon!” joining as a thief is likely not going to cause you any problems. The dungeons truly are setup in a way that practically every team composition can successfully finish them. (Arah p4 is it’s own category. Personally, I would place it as a special kind of hell.)
Then there are the speed runs. These parties are farming machines. They are looking for maximum long term damage and utilities/cantrips that allow them to cut corners in the dungeon. CoF path 1 is the perfect example of this as it’s the most farmed path/dungeon in the game.
People want 4 warriors and 1 mesmer ideally. Guardians can be substituted in for warriors, but what people really want are 4 100b and a time warp. Then you quickly kill the acolytes, then the mesmer ports you through the flame ball trap, a warrior dps’s the gate down, and you do 4 100b/Time Warp on the flame effigy and rinse repeat.
So why do people have an issue with thieves joining in on the equation? As a guy that farms with a zerker thief, I have been kicked many times whilst trying to join CoF p1 farm groups. I feel like the reasons for such are as follows
-Thieves do NOT benefit from cooldown reduction
This is a big deal because a hardcore CoF farming group wants to kill The Slaver in 1 Time Warp (2 Time Warps if you’re running a 3 dps 2 mes party).
-Thieves have a ridiculously small margin of error
Like I said, I do dungeon farming with my thief. And I can honestly say when I first started it was insanely difficult. I had phenomenal dps, but the moment I got hit my 2-3 AoE’s I was done for. As I’ve continued to play these high tier dungeons I have become better and now can safely say that I can bring top notch dps and stay up, but I had to work at it.
-DON’T BE A SUPPORT IN FARM RUNS.
Seriously, almost 95% of the time I see farming parties kick thieves it’s because as soon as the thieves see the party is skeptical about their presence they say “Don’t worry, I’m a boss support.” Farming parties don’t want support. They have a mesmer to hit the Time Warp button and they expect everyone else to be facemelting. Thief support is crazy amazing, but recognize the party’s need.
For those asking about builds I run Sword/Pistol Pistol/Pistol with 30/30/0/0/10 with full berserker gear. For utilities I run shadow refuge/signet of shadow, venom, and haste. Thieves guild for elite.

As someone who has friends and family that have served and continue to serve, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your service. God bless you and I wish you well.
I most certainly agree with you though. This game has a wonderful formula that just doesn’t exist elsewhere. You don’t typically come across a game that you can play for a short period of time every day and feel like you’re achieving something and having fun socializing while doing so.
Cheers!
My main issue with this concept art is that the beast of burden in question appears to be a horse. Yet, I’ve failed to see a horse in all of tyria. (I have my world completion, so I’d have seen them if they were there.)
This leads me to only one conclusion. That is not a horse….
It’s a centaur.
The centaur are finally going to be enslaved and used in place of horses. Their struggles will make up the bulk of the flame and frost content. It’s a sad day in Tyria…
Dang it. I read all of the previous posts silently thinking the very same thing “Silly people, there are no horses in Tyria.” And then I got to the end and you made me feel less smart :P
On a serious note, I feel like this “mount” debate is just plan ridiculous. After completing exploration of all of the currently explorable Tyria, there are no suitable mounts for humanoid creatures. To everyone saying “Give us Dolyak mounts!” I have this simply request.
Bow your legs.
No.
Wider.
WIDER.
I SAID WIDER.
Yeah. Still not fitting a Dolyak down there. Feel free to ride sideways like a noblewoman though. Cuz that’ll certainly fall inline with the logic of “You have to have mounts to create the feeling of epicness!”

I actually took the time to sign into the forums for the first time and accept the terms of service just so I could post “congrats on starting a flame war Haviz”.
What started as a genuine interest in the topic dissolved into a “wow this is actually aggravating to read”.
I completely agree with the majority in this, it’s a classic part of video games taking on the masses with you and your allies, completely outnumbered. It feels epic! It’s what we love to do. And I certainly would love to see more of it. That’s the reason I love the Grenth event so much. After killing the priest almost every time when the first wave spawns I want to shout “LET THEM COME” as I pop my Lich Form and go ballistic.
And as far as making the silvers more dynamic and requiring my strategy to shake up the bore factor that we all feel currently with them, I’m not really sure like that would fix it for me. If I want something challenging and long I go after champs/legendaries. We don’t need those silver mobs to create that feeling.
Give me mobs of trash led by 1-3 silver “captains”. Give me trash led by a 1 champion. Just please don’t make me fight in a hallway filled with 5-6 silvers…. I want blood and gold. That’s why I play fantasy based video games and the moments in this game that capture that is what I love most.
