Another attempt, human character in Queensdale – game freeze after gathering from tree sapling. (Second time this has occurred while at gathering node.) Could be lag, I suppose – I have graphics at 100%, but it’s never been an issue before. The game works, or it doesn’t.

I would like to know what kind of information I can provide to help resolve this issue. I normally send in reports after the game has crashed, but I am no longer able to do so with the nature of the crashes this time around. There isn’t even enough time in-game (before it freezes/locks up) to send a proper report.

I have similar crashing issues, recently made worse the last few days. Beta was much more stable.

I’ve had this showing up too. I was wondering what was causing it – makes sense that I’ve only seen it in Orr, then.

To add to this… I have tried playing on multiple characters in different maps, so it’s not one specific area that’s causing the issue. It’s happening whether I’m in Orr or Kessex Hills. One other thing I noticed while on my mesmer, in Cursed Shore, is that I am getting a system error (in red) about content not being available at this time. I saw it last night, but also a few minutes ago when trying to play the character. (But never before this.) I couldn’t replicate it, and it doesn’t seemed to be caused by something I am doing, but I really don’t know.

And the game crashed this time just before defeating a champion, so I have no idea if any credit/rewards were given for that, either. This seems to often be the case – crashing/freezing right before something dies and either loot or chests become available. It makes it difficult to even want to attempt events, as they take time and give nothing in return.

For me, GW2 has always been a bit glitchy – I have sent in many reports on game crashes that seem to get worse during dungeons and personal missions. Today, though, things are a little different… my game is not crashing, but rather locking up; freezing. I need to do the ctrl-alt-delete thing to get the Task Manager up and manually shut down the program. If I’m lucky. Otherwise I need to restart the computer itself. And this is happening every few minutes. Usually by the 10-minute-mark I need to restart and try again.

This really does make the game impossible to play and enjoy.

I’ve wanted this very same thing. The game crashes for me an obscene number of times (today more than ever) especially in personal story missions. Forging the Pact was a particularly annoying one for me because the game would normally crash -after- I defeated the boss, but before I spoke to the npc. Awful!

A checkpoint is a great idea, or even keeping the instance “on hold” for 5 minutes or so, just to give those who d/c or crash and chance to get back in there and finish up the stories. It would relieve a whole lot of stress, for sure.

This latest patch is causing repeated crashes for me. It loaded the patch, but it’s not done me any good. Same boat – can’t play.

I have found the same problem on certain missions – usually the later ones. I forget the exact names, but… it’s not just you.

Still a problem.. tried fixing some things on my end – could-be culprits like background programs. Nothing seems to help, though.

I just logged into guild wars 2 and the game updated itself. After the update… the game crashed. And now it’s crashing every few seconds as I am trying to log in – I often don’t make it beyond the Character Select screen. At this point, the game is unplayable.. I have submitted reports when the option came up, and I am wondering if anyone else has just started having this issue following the update, as well.
