I love everything about my Engi. Thematically, it matches my personality more than any other class. However, it feels like it is a constant struggle to play engi. I’m predominantly a PvE player. I dabble in PvP for the rewards every now and then, but I definitely do not enjoy it as much as wrecking mobs in PvE. Engi has been suffering in this department for a while now. We just aren’t really wanted in groups, at least in my experience. The only acceptable engi’s in raids are condi engi’s. Now, before I go further, I just want to say that I completely understand raiding groups wanting the best. It makes perfect sense, that isn’t my complaint. Personally, I do not like condi builds. I’m a sucker for use numbers and blowing things up instantly. I just feel like I shouldn’t have to deviate from the build I have the most fun with just to be even slightly relevant in end-game PvE. Moreover, even when I do give up and play condi, if there is a ranger out there, I can’t even raid as condi. Engi just feels so underpowered, and unwanted in it’s current state. This makes me incredibly sad, because the ultimatum I’m given is either give up on end-game content, or give up on Engi.
