We (JQ) have a guy hanging out on our borderlands at Spiritholme (north supply camp) constantly using supply to build golems. When politely (or otherwise) asked to stop, he makes some complaint about Temple of Balthazar.

When we finally managed to get an upgrade through, a large group of Blackgate (Mostly HB) appear (literally RIGHT after the upgrade finished) and took the camp.

Now of course I can’t blame anyone, because he isn’t representing a guild. However, it is awfully troll like (though I guess since he is building golems he could argue “But i’m being useful!” as opposed to building rams). He ignores any requests to allow us to upgrade the camp (until that one time we managed to get an upgrade in before he could use 10 supply to keep the supply down).

In any case…if anyone is resorting to a tactic like that (having someone on an opposing server to clear supply to avoid upgrades). I’d just like to say, bad form. Very bad form. Poor sportsmanship, if that is what is really going on. I would say that if it was someone on my server doing it. I would CERTAINLY, if that person was in my guild, kick him immediately.

Anyway, just thought I’d mention it. If anyone wants to know his account name to check if he is in your guild, let me know in a PM and I can send it to you.

Actually We´ve been trying to get fights vs. you all night. Taking your spawm tower 5 times or so is “barely” hitting you?

Didnt really see any JQ guilds worth figting ( no offense intended JQ ! ), so we tried roaming S to find and fight AGG and FoE. Had some really good clashes where we had to pull out our a-game. Thanks for the fun to both JQ and SoS. Those 3 way fights in garrison early after reset was pretty insane

You took our spawn tower 5 times???? I didn’t notice. I remember once or twice but i missed the reset so waited in queue a bit once I got home. It seemed most of the time I was online, it was pretty much divided .33/.33/.34. Definitely fun fights tonight. You guys run in HUGE numbers. You wiped us quite a few times but thankfully we were close to spawn. I think the whole map was a pretty tight tug of war until I had to log.

Not sure what the current situation is. I am unfortunately working on an after hours work call atm. =/

Clever, ignore the possibility the mass influx brought in trolls from other servers and immediately mention BG. Next insert a rumor from the grape vine and antagonize a rivalry between your competition.

Next you’ll tell us how JQ and BG fighing each other helps each server raise their overall ranking by a larger margin than attacking the highest ranking server would.

Sounds like BG damage control right there. It is okay, you can both switch to double team us instead of fighting each other. We welcome the challenge. We won’t QQ like the JQ guy above me a post or two.

Playing in T1 is better than stomping T2.

No-one sane believed it will be easy to win, especially after our T1 losts last time. We’ll just need to get more PvE people into WvW and we’ll be as competitive the whole week as much as reset day.

Part of the blame should go to arena net. They need to make WvW close to as profitable as farming. Or some other type of incentive.

The more important question is " Who is going to replace BG in 2 weeks time"

Looking at how tier 2 is going, probably SoR. Will it be better? Nope. Asian/Oceanics are still on IOJ, Dragonbrand, Kaineng and Crystal Desert. You don’t find sizable A/O guilds on TC and SoR, so progressing to tier 1 will be a death sentence for them.

Being NA, SoR will be better personally because they have a very strong NA presence which is fun to fight against. I welcome a rematch of our T3 battles. At least SoR doesn’t run around in 1 big 50 man turtle and actually uses tactics.

not sure why there is so much hate directed towards BG tbh and HB seems to be targetted quite strongly over a video really? i can only assume we are doing something right. the video was a simple message to let you know about our guild and what we bring to the table read whatever else into it you please. it was supposed to be provocative we wanted you to come at us guns blazing and by christ you did but we have more than proved ourselves

early hours today (EU) were demoralising after such a strong start, i think we suffered a bit of a burnout we arent used to such a tough fight but we will get used to that. we (blackgate)could have rolled over and thought kitten it. but ya know what we havent. ive seen small guilds working together to get our towers and keeps back and listening to our more established guilds. ye the organisation isnt quite there yet but its something that has to be worked on. we have a strong EU presence and thats the time we need to dominate on to make up for our shortfall in other time zones. i think tonight we have done admirably considering we were down to 15 ppt at one point today

also JQ and SOS know each other inside out you know who to be wary of and who you dont need to really worry about. you know each others tactics and how to counter them BG still has all that to learn and we will.

i dont know if we will make it in T1 i hope so i firmly believe this is where BG belongs and we have worked hard in game and out of game to make sure we moved back up to T1 we certainly have no intention of going back to T2 in disgrace

oh and just a footnote ive been playing mmo’s now for pretty much 13 years and thats the pvp rvr wvwvw call it what you will, aspect of the games and smokee is up there with the best no one is more dedicated to the cause than him its actually quite scary at times.

We don’t care about some random guild coming into tier1. Your job is to make us care by bringing it to us. So far all I have seen from HB is failed turtles. Don’t get me wrong, we are all enjoying all the loot bags.

Someone should have done the research before you guys reached T1 to determine that the turle tactic doesn’t work in this bracket. SoS defeated that tactic back when TL used to do it, which was before the healing nerf. Now, it is just LoL.

I really hope you guys get your strats together because I really don’t want to see SBI back here. They are the most boring server to fight against.

Loved fight BG today on SoS bl when they were attacking hills. Though I gotta say, your turtle tactics don’t work here.

As for the 2v1 posts, I would assume most of the qq would be coming from individuals or guilds that aren’t involved with the strategy aspect of it. Any major guild would be familiar with it by now and have their own methods of dealing with it. Lets hope the week brings more awesomeness.

I had a good sense that T2 was more competition than T1 realized. Congratulations for fighting so hard BG, rooting for you guys!

SoS knew T2 was competive. We had a harder time in T2 than our first week in T1. Now maybe JQ and SBI didn’t realize since they have been T1 since forever.

JQ are doomed to 3rd place thats clear, now the question is who can nail the most points… ND and Thai vs door (zero sos at these hours) or SoS’ superior NA guilds.
The oceanics are pretty close but i think SoS have the edge there very slightly.

SoS just took the lead holding a steady 310-340 all night, lets see how far they can pull ahead before the asian/euro v door starts.

SoR had a massive NA coverage which we couldn’t handle (and for what they brag, it’s better than SoS’s). If SoS is going to rely on that to win against BG, you’ll lose… Just like SoR did…

They do have great NA coverage for sure but I am pretty sure we held the lead most of the time. I am West Coast so maybe it was different EC time.

It is boring for us on SoS also. We don’t get to hear about how superior SF and their sister guild, rage, is in “Open World PvP” and how they lose every week because of coverage and the 2v1 us and JQ give them.

This is turning out to be a great week now that we finally got another server worthy of T1 in the bracket. We broke WM’s will so they turned tail and decided to PvDoor to victory. They thought they could do that on SBI but it turns out their NA crew was pretty lackluster and lost a lot of the ground that WM gained during the wee hours of the night.

I have personally witnessed JQ glitching through the front gate while I was the sole defender of Blue Briar (or whatever it is on SoS borderlands). He walked RIGHT through the gate! It wasn’t just lag because I ran up to the keep lord and he followed and died.

I am not going to call intentional hack because I have no clue, but I do know, that was effed up.

PRX was on EB duty this week. They did a great job but you can’t expect people to actually believe that PRX is carrying SoS. Sea of Sorrows is carrying Sea of Sorrows. Go back to Blackgate and work on your tactics.

It’s kids like this; that embody why I left Sea of Sorrows. Overzealous chest pounders; that take advantage of every waking second they can do it. If you understood anything about BG; you would realize our coverage killed us more than anything.
