It really just feels unfinished.. It was a few pretty minutes of Zhaitan and fireworks, then it’s over.
I feel like when he fell through the clouds after you beat him he should have come back up and landed on the ship for one last battle, this time the only way he could be hurt would be with your own weapons.
The dungeon as a whole was really epic though.. But I can’t imagine that anyone actually enjoyed that final fight.
Also his voice acting is.. sub-par.. to put it lightly. Really wouldn’t have minded him as a side character.. but man.. I have a really hard time bringing myself to like this guy.
I been farming CM / AC all day with guildies and random pugs… by the time I hit mid 70’s I was 150k per run plus an kitten more money.. Something is really different, considering I clear CM in 20 minutes or less which 150k xp for 20 minutes is seeming like overkill has to be a bug or Arena is being very kind
Same boat. I would be really interested in seeing what Anet says about this.
It’s a level 40 dungeon, and you got about half or 2/3s of a level for what, 1 hour of play? I think that to be in line to how much you’d gather from exploring around.
In any case, considering how many ways you can level, there isen’t a ‘bad way’ and i don’t think this is called an exploit per se, unless you got that much from a 5 minute speedrun.
I do understand that logic, but with a competent party the dungeon takes like 30-40 minutes to complete, maybe less. I do get good xp and money wandering around in Frostgorge Sound and doing random events, but not nearly as quickly as I do by doing CM.. or so it seems.
Maybe it’s fine and I’m paranoid. Maybe the scaling is slightly off. Idk, I was just hoping that this thread would maybe provide something more concrete than just speculation so I wouldn’t feel bad about doing CM.
I don’t know about you, but I tend to run out of money quite frequently. Normally what I would do is just scrape by doing a few hearts or something. However, this time I decided I’d do CM a few times just to make some quick cash.
I remember the base xp reward being a flat 20k xp, which made sense to me (with it being a level 40 dungeon) and some pretty decent rewards. Anyways, I find a group and we get through the instance. I’m getting some actual loot for my level – cool, I thought, loot scales now. Kind of makes sense I guess.
However, upon completion of the dungeon I received a whopping 125k xp, which shot me right up from 73 to 74. Whether or not this is the intended amount, I’m not sure. Is xp supposed to scale this high with dungeons? If so, then I believe it’s way too high… if not, then has anyone else experienced this?
