Did the ‘fix’ from yesterday mess other things up? I’m having the occasional lagspike since yesterday evening.
There was no fix yesterday.
I just bought this game one and a half weeks ago, already unable to use one of the core features. for what most likely will be more then a week. If the “Mac Developer Team” (Which I pressume are one or two guys maintaining the cider port parttime) is even able to fix it in time. Just great.
“still working”= not before next week – at the earliest – I assume? Great.
There is no fix that a player could realistically do.
Regarding the fixing “soon”, by now I don’t believe we’ll see a fix before next week, for the simple reason that it’s rather unlikely that they’ll put out a patch out in the afternoon/evening before the weekend. Because if the fix broke even more and the highest amount of people plays…
They should make a real Mac version or this sort of thing will happen again.
Quoted for Truth.
I doubt this is ever going to happen. Pretty sure the only reason we got a Mac Client in the first place was that the only additional cost would be the cider licensing and the occasional developer time if something breaks (as in this situation). Unless they believe that a real Mac Port would get them a whole lot of new customers, I just don’t see it.
Edit: This is all OT though.
@Oogo It’s the keybinding to open the trade post.
whats a crossover?
Crossover is yet another commercial fork of the Wine-Project(in simple terms, wine translates the “commands” of windows software so that a Unix-like system as Linux and OS X can “comprehend” it). Cider, which is used to make GW 2 run on a Mac is also a fork of Wine.
They said tomorrow morning by which I assume they mean PDT (“Seattle-time”). And by that it’s 4.57 AM, so I wouldn’t expect to see the fix earlier then 5 hours from now.
