From what i’ve seen and heard most people don’t like that buff.
It promotes coordination between groups and punishes mindless blobbing. I can’t say I feel bad for anyone who doesn’t like the buff!
Definitely THE most though, suspenseful, fun, and rewarding WvW experience I’ve had since the launch of this game, and that says a lot. Big thanks to everyone involved.
Same issue here. I have a new SSD and the loading screens used to be 4-10 seconds long. Now they’re 30-40 seconds, everywhere.
I made sure to avoid the laser walls that impede you earlier on in the dungeon, and I got the achievement. During a previous run, I got hit by one of those walls and didn’t get the achievement despite not getting hit during the fight with Frizz. Try that.
I wish I would have read your post sooner! I found out what the issue was. I was 100% sure I was doing the boss fight properly, never taking damage, but I was however apparently taking damage from the laser walls on the bridges at the start of the dungeon. The tooltip of the achievement made me think only the boss fight counted.
I have completed the criteria for the achievement “Faster Than Light” many times (I’ve run the dungeon 9 times, completed the achievement 5 of them), but I’m not getting credited with the achievement. Today for the first time, a person I ran with died to the lasers and got the achievement, so there is obviously something wrong with the detection. I’ve submitted bug reports but I don’t it’s going to change anything.
I would be okay with bugs like this, if it weren’t for the fact that the dungeon is going away soon. This will be the first time-limited achievement I don’t have, even though I’ve completed it multiple times. I’m obviously extremely frustrated with this.

I would like to know this as well. In my opinion, soulbound items should not only be obtainable through luck only. I’m getting close to 80 silver/gold chests (and ~20 copper) opened in halloween, and I still don’t have a weapon skin. A hundred chests opened. My friends who play much less than me all have 1-3 of them, but I can’t have one apparently.
This was a very poor design choice. The random drop makes sense in PvE, because you can buy it off other people. In PvP however, the proper way to implement these would have been to make crafting recipes (possibly very expensive, but I wouldn’t mind spending 100k glory or 20 slivers or something, it would’ve been much easier than this).
You don’t get locked out only by specifically repeating the same events, you get locked out by doing different events on the same map. Again, using my experience as an example because that’s all I know. I was doing four event chains in Cursed Shore. That took around 50 minutes, and the last four or five events gave less than 50 karma per event. I’m not playing like a bot, doing the same three events over and over, I’m just doing stuff all over the map, wherever I feel like going. Again, it makes me sad that I can’t do whatever I want anymore, and I’m forced away from the map after a short time.
Furthermore, what happens when you’re leveling, and doing 100% map completion? Are you just FORCED out of the map after a while because you’re not getting any more rewards? As a veteran MMO player, it’s weird to me that they’re giving you less than an hour of gameplay per day, when I’m used to several hours.
Sure, I get what they’re playing at. Explore stuff, do different things in different places, but no matter how you look at it, this is a very bad change. I can’t do what I want anymore, and I’m instead forced in different directions to places I don’t want to go to. The best option for me right now is to just log out, wait, and have hope. Don’t mess this up now, Anet. Please.
I’ve been defending Anet’s decision making in nearly all controversial changes because they’ve made sense. This one doesn’t. At all. I’m able to play in Orr for around 50 minutes before I stop getting karma completely (I logged out after I was getting 19 karma per event, where I was getting 378 before). Guild Wars 2 now feels like a facebook game where your ability to play gets removed after your “energy” bar is depleted.
I’m hoping they revert this change as soon as possible. I really do. I haven’t enjoyed a game this much in years and years, but they’re not letting me play right now, and that makes me sad.
