So I was playing fine with my newly installed gtx 980ti graphics card and decided I wanted to upgrade my old system to support PCI express 3.
changed mother board and cpu had to do fresh install after hours of talking with Microsoft trying to get them to revalidate windows.

Sometimes I can play for hours without an issue

Sometimes after signing in when I press play I get a black screen and music with cursor on it.
—-when I get the black screen if I alt out of it I can not access anything I can pull up the task manager but can not click on anything I can use file explorer but can not select any thing all I can do is hard restart.

sometimes during game play the computer freezes and I can not do anything no alt tab, no ctrl alt delete, just frozen – once with a nice looping audio stutter sound.

Please let me know what information I need to get on here for someone to help me diagnose what is going on with my computer.

Recently upgraded computer and had to reinstall windows because I changed the motherboard and processor.

all I have installed other than windows is gw2

I have gone to all the websites and downloaded the latest drivers to include asus.

Now using a intel 750 PCIe NVMe for boot
have Z170 chipset – asus z170m plus
core I7 6700 skylake
CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 32GB DDR4 2133 (PC4 17000)
EVGA GTX 980TI
and a 2TB HHD for storage
running windows 10

wonder if I should go back to 7 ult

with the new install I am wondering if maybe I am missing some other programs that may be required to run GW2

This bug may be something that has been around since before HoT release.
I started playing again about 2 months before HoT. I had 97% map completion done and went around and finished up my map areas. I only saw completion rewards for 1 city I had missed a POI on and that’s it, the rest of the zones gave me nothing. I did receive the exploration completion when I got 100%. I thought maybe they had removed the individual rewards from each area. I went on to go through living season 2 and drytop and silverwastes and never received anything for these zones either. Now I have almost all of HoT finished just one last POI and HP in the final Boss area of DS. No rewards.

the First tier of masteries went fast due to the lower amount of exp required and everything being new with discovery exp and so forth.
I play for a max of about 2 hours a day or less
4 days logging in doing meta events without being able to fill up a mastery bar.
I decided to try the spider farm and filled up 3 new mastery exp bars in my normal 1 sitting.

They need to boost the exp for events a little bit.
The way it is right now I would rather mindlessly kill spiders with boosters getting around 2-4k per spider then do a 10 minute event that gives me 1-8k and 2 hour meta giving you around 20-40k (roughly 10 spiders which you can kill in around 5 minutes or less)
also killing the spiders nets tons of greens and blues, poisons, rares, and even exotics – I got a new skin exotic shield, rifle, and pistol off the spiders.

I had to summon venders twice to get rid of stuff during my 1 sitting. And that is with continuing to use the vender while it was up for several runs through.
I did notice that it goes much faster with about 5-7 people blazing through it. And the spawn is able to keep up with that pace.

So until I get the masteries I need to do my specialization collection and anything behind a mastery gate I will kill spiders.

So if I am reading this correctly

Hard CC Direct Break Bar damage
Daze, Float, Knockback, Knockdown, Launch , Pull, Sink, Stun

I am guessing as a thief daredevil I would use the combo below on the blue break bar?

Steal – if you have the right setup
fist furry – palm strike
impact strike – uppercut
stealth ability 1

1 Knockdown from stealth 2 sec
2 Weakness – 2 sec
3 Cripple – 6 sec
4 Blind – 5 sec

Distracting dagger = Daze 1/4 sec
fist furry → palm strike = Stun 2 Sec
Imparing Daggers = Slow 4 sec, Immobilize 2 sec

Elite
Impact Strike – Daze 2 sec
—→ Uppercut – Launch 2 sec

I completed the first map and got the choice of cache’s and said to myself I don’t need any thief gear, let me grab something for an alt………SMH then found out I needed to get it for BO. Completed next map no reward……
currently waiting for this fix, stealth glide and the harvesting mastery’s(the grind), plus the crap you have to buy in DS.

I looted an Exalted Helm lining which is tagged as rare in yellow or gold border and I really have no clue what it is for? Any help?

So I recently came back and started doing stuff in Dry Top.
I played at release for couple of months.
What should I be trying to do now other than work on map completion, Events, so forth.
I have the precursor the lover. and a couple of the gifts finished crafting. Some other components left to do.
Should I be trying to get Sword and dagger or pistol instead of short bow?
I have a bunch of extra points and all of the traits are unlocked and the skills for each weapon combination.
Are there any story lines I can do?
I have Exotic gear already that I crafted.
Tons of stuff in my crafting bank
huntsman 400, leatherworking 400.
I have seen the build suggestions.
Just need some pointers

So I played the game at release I have a level 80 thief with 400 in huntsman and leatherworking. Was working on finishing up exploration and getting the dreamer when I left. Logged in have a bunch of rewards and so forth but am pretty much clueless about anything new, armor stats are gone have to select them. Have a ton of points to distribute. wearing all exotic stuff I crafted.
Need to transfer over to a NA EST zone server since I was EU when I first played. Any suggestions or help?

around 67 of ~300 Mystic coins – have not spent any of the mystic coins i have gained.
I have 89 of ~380 SP (But i have all the skills including elites)
maybe 20 of each top rare so far and around 100-250 of the gathered ones since this is tier 6 items out of 250 stack of 11- 15 different Mats including rares
I probabaly have it -1 Superior Sigil
12 of the ~140 gold

done – 500 WvWvW badges

I think the hardest part is going to be the karma, Ectos, and the gold.
Most time consuming will be Karma, Skill Points, and Mystic coins – from daily and monthly achievements, map completions, so forth…..

I have run all of the story mode dungeons – where i received absolutely no upgrades for anything i had. because all exotic armor is equivalent. I have crafted my own Exotic armor and weapons and have no need for anything else. I’m happy with looks of the crafted armor.
And I get better loot outside of dungeons doing events – I usually receive blues in dungeons. And greens and some yellows for doing events.
Every chest opening is a huge disappointment.
Every single dungeon story mode reward is the same stupid hat.

If i want to change my stat set I can craft another set to accommodate this.

The legendary is absolutely ridiculous to get for a minimal increase.
I have already obtained the WvWvW Ingredient for 500 Badges of honor. And I am bored with WvWvW now.
So basically all i need now is a crap ton of dungeon runs through the same pointless dungeon over and over. And a ton of karma and gold. Im probably not going to finish it before getting bored to death.
I am actually finding it hard to have a reason to play GW2 anymore.

I haven’t finished the world exploration yet. I’m at 73% so I will finish the maps and the hearts and general exploration and events then most likely I am done.

there needs to be some reason to continue to play other than appearance items.
